We had the good fortune of connecting with Courtney Acree and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Courtney, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Initially, my thought process was to answer the most common questions I received from people who were interested in the flight attendant lifestyle. So I decided to create a series of videos that answered those questions.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Being a flight attendant, chiropractor, and youtube creator, I can be very busy. Time management is very important. Being on the go flying as a flight attendant can be tiring if you overexert yourself. You have to listen to your body and know when to rest. Being a chiropractor is a physical career with the bending and twist, and like being a flight attendant, you have to know when to take a break. While you’re serving people, you have to know when to take care of yourself as well. I’m very proud of both careers and I’m truly excited to serve the passengers as a flight attendant, or patients as a chiropractor, and provide information as a YouTube creator.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I think my best friend and I would experience all of the tourist attractions Atlanta has to offer. We would begin in Centennial Olympic Park and experience Skyview Atlanta and then visit The World of Coca-Cola as well as the Georgia Aquarium while there. We would visit Krog Street Market and Ponce City Market. The Trap Museum and the High Museum of Art would be great places to visit. We’d ride bikes along the Atlanta Beltline and go thrifting at Junkman’s Daughter. We’d stop and admire all of the murals and outside art along the way. Some of my favorite eateries are The Vortex, Cafe Intermezzo, Folk Art, South City Kitchen, Canoe, Two Urban Licks, Flying Biscuit, Poor Calvin’s, and Twisted Soul.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’d like to dedicate this shoutout to my mother. Even though she has passed away, her love, support, and pure joy when I achieved even the smallest of my goals was amazing and still resonates with me.
