We had the good fortune of connecting with Confetti Kash and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Confetti, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I am inspired by several things but the biggest one would be failure. I love to not get it right the first couple of times. I love the process of failing, then trying again, failing, then trying again, etc. I feel like with every failure or lost, I get stronger and wiser. Plus, trying harder after each failure makes the success that much sweeter when I finally get it. I love to feel like I’ve earned it.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I make music, Youtube videos, and I own an online boutique. What sets me apart musically is that I am able to take from different genres to create a record. I’ve gotten the compliment of, “We never know what to expect from you” , on multiple occasions. I don’t have a set sound or vibe in my catalogue of music but yet it all fits together perfectly. The Youtube videos my girlfriend and I make are like a digital diary. We don’t just make the trendy viral videos we really delve into who we are as individuals. I also own an online boutique with my girlfriend. The vibe is “high fashion streetwear”. We give formal garments an edgy vibe. We are nowhere near where we want to be in any of these endeavors but we are on the right track. We have fought for every stream, subscriber, and sell. None of it has been easy. The key to overcoming is to learn to appreciate the PROCESS. Failure and losing are apart of what it takes to be successful. We understand that. Now, with every loss we are able to keep clear minds and focus on the future and what adjustments need to be made.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First, we need to take a little road trip to North Georgia. We have to go ziplining, ATV riding, and hiking in the mountains! As far as food goes, we absolutely must go to Orient Express in Vinings. We NEED to eat in the hibachi portion. We also have to get crawfish ravioli from Copelands. And, Fontaine’s on N Highland has the best Po Boys ever. We could catch a sunset on the rooftop in Ponce City Market while enjoying a few drinks. I also like to ride the Bird scooters through midtown and Buckhead. Atlanta can be an interesting place when you find what floats your boat.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Simone Mosley is my beautiful soon to be wife and bestfriend. I actually own an online boutique with her called KashxKing. She inspires me without even using her words sometimes. Just her presence and aura gives me the motivation I need. Her creativity is contagious and her drive is impeccable. I love how she holds me accountable but she also lifts me up.
