We had the good fortune of connecting with Christyn Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christyn, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?

I define success by putting your all into the purpose that has been placed on your heart. Creating a plan and executing it. Success for me is choosing to continuously strengthen and expand on my talents and visions, so that I can reach certain goals in life knowing that in my heart I am happiest when fulfilling my purpose. Touching men and women by enhancing their beauty, and style to be successful you must never give up and continuously grow.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Sunkiss Styles is a mobile braiding service. Specializes in installing weave extensions sew-ins, wigs, and braids. I am known for my braid styles and faux locs. The most popular trend for the summer was my Crochet Faux Locs, my method is seamless, and neat for half the time and the price of other salons. I am most proud of the quality of service I provide and the personal touch the customer receives by choosing me as their stylist. I only schedule individual appointments so you get a more personal experience with me is always fun.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

First I would start the morning off with a hike. My favorites are the trails around the Chattahoochee River, Stone Mountain, Kennesaw Mountain. Then I would say lets go find a place to Brunch my favorite is Negril Village, BQE, or Rosies. We can go downtown to visit the Martin Luther King Center, World of Coke, and of course the Atlanta’s nightlife is like no other! There is always something going on any day of the week here in Atlanta.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?

My family and friends deserve all the credit and recognition. My Grandmother Ida letting me put rollers in her hair at 7 years old the night before Sunday Church service. I thank my mom for teaching me how to cornrow, by letting me feel while she did mine. Lastly my Sunkiss Dolls for always coming back and referring me to their family and friends.
