We had the good fortune of connecting with Christopher Powell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Christopher, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor behind my success is being able to ‘roll with the punches’. Sometimes, there will be many obstacles that will stun or halt progress, but it takes perseverance and determination to be able to overcome the challenges.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Currently, I am a crypto teacher and I also trade cryptocurrencies. I got to where I am through hours of research, mostly while studying and doing Physics assignments. As far as the difficulty, it was very challenging at first because I had to put my focus in school, but I recently graduated so I have more time to look into trends, charts, etc. I would want the world to know that I love to learn and I’m open minded to change; digitization is increasing day by day and I want to always stay up to date on new technologies on the market.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
A few places I would take my friend would be to Top Golf to relax, converse and have fun hitting some golf balls for a few hours. Atlanta is home to many amazing restaurants such as Ton Ton and Atlantic Grill. Ton Ton is a Japanese restaurant located in Ponce City Market and Atlantic Grill is in Atlantic Station. I love videogames, so I would take my friend to Battle and Brew, a gaming bar located in Sandy Springs. I would also check out some really cool parks such as Piedmont Park or Centennial for the downtown scenery.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to give a shoutout to my younger sister Monia Hicks and my cousin William Perry Jr. While finishing my bachelors in Physics, these individuals consistently contacted me and made sure I was giving my all during exams, quizzes, and in everyday life. They kept me grounded, making sure that I would finish strong. I am very grateful to have them in my life.
