Hi Catalina, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Balancing work and family can be a challenging task, and the balance can change over time due to various factors such as career development, personal circumstances, and changing family priorities. The balance between family and work is a personal and complex issue that varies from person to person depending on their values, priorities, and circumstances. Some people prioritize their family above all else, while others prioritize their career or work goals. There is no right or wrong answer when it comes to balancing family and work, as long as you are able to find a balance that works for you and your loved ones.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Catalina Rodríguez is a Colombian interior designer who originally worked in the real estate sector in Colombia. During her time in the industry, she became increasingly interested in interior design, eventually leading her to pursue a career in this field. Catalina has completed two certifications in interior design in the USA, which have allowed her to refine her skills and gain exposure to different design techniques and trends. Her training has given her a strong foundation in the principles of design, as well as an understanding of how to work with clients to create spaces that are both functional and aesthetically pleasing. The transition from being a full-time mother to resuming your career may have been a challenge, but your ability to plan and set priorities helped you excel. Your commitment to professional and personal success is admirable and serves as an example for others who find themselves in similar situations.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I had a wonderful experience with my kids and my husband at Discovery Cove. It’s truly a magical place that offers a variety of exciting and memorable activities for the whole family. From swimming with dolphins to exploring exotic coral reefs and enjoying beautiful beaches, it’s a stunning and unforgettable location.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
It’s wonderful to have a husband like John Duran who give me support and encouragement at all times. His presence and dedication in my life are invaluable and it is important to recognize and thank his contribution to my success.
