We had the good fortune of connecting with Cashaey Serenity and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cashaey, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson that my career has taught me, is to keep going no matter the obstacles. Celebrate both your small and big wins.

Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I think what sets me apart from others is the fact that I try to always find the good in everything I do. I’ve been told NO!so many times but I don’t let that discourage me, instead I use that to motivate me to prove them wrong. I got to where I am now by hard work and determination. Networking with others played a big part in my successes. When you’re confident with yourself and what you do and you’re thankful for the opportunities that you have been given, people acknowledge those traits and more often than not; You will be rewarded. Alot of my successes have been by referrals.
It was not easy getting where I am now. And although I’m not where I want to be in my career still, I believe the quote “Nothing worth having comes easy”, has some truth to it. Unconsciously I believe we appreciate things more when it doesn’t come easy.
I want the world to now that I am a Jack (Jane)of all trades. It’s nothing wrong with having multiple skills because you never know when you may need a certain skill to accomplish your goal.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Im fairly new to the area so I’m still learning which spots are my favorites but I love to eat and nature. So I would definately take them out to eat to try new resturants in Atlanta and surrounding areas. I would also take them to Piedmont park, the scenery is is beautiful.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family and close friends of course, they have been so supportive during my journey.
