We had the good fortune of connecting with Calshaun Vinson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Calshaun, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind making my brand successful is Love & Family. Because my love for my family keeps me going,keeps me hard working to succeed. My love for them also tells me to do better every morning that I wake. I love to show my children to never give up on something you want to do in life because we can do anything we put our focus and minds too.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
what sets me apart from others i would say is basically with my music i choose to be different. every artist today chooses to use autotune,while i choose to sing out more to receive the standing ovation effect that i want from the crowd. Im mainly proud of myself for continue to strive through all my lifes ups & downs. I worked very hard to get where i am today w/ the help of my manager Carmella Garcia & we win some lose some but we are winning mainly But the grind is “Not So Easy” like my single OuT NOW on all platforms be sure to check out. along the way i have learned everybody cant go with you on your successful journey & you have to realize whose really with you mentally,physically & emotionally w/ all due loyalty to the ones who just coming for the ride just to get a piece of the pie. i want the world to know that my music is not just something we can vibe & dance to but we can also learn from the stories being told in most cases.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
tbh im not the to much the hang out type,too much going on in the world. But if id have to say first in foremost of course first nite is on the town I would have to show them the city of Chicago DowntownViews Then we’d go to “Ambitious Entertainment Bar” or “Lets Play Bar & Grill” get some drinks dance mingle & chill. Next Day theyd have to come out & attend one of my showcases & see how I perform. We can Go Out to eat At “Grand Lux Restaurant” id more then likely take them outwest to a small chicken restaurant by the name of “Uncle Remus”. & back top the studio everynite cause like i say im not the hang out guy i lik eto chill make music, drink, smoke & vibe …

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Well I gotta say R.Kelly deserves a Big s/o from me, tho the world hates him right now, I still love him for his musical gifts & the things Ive learned from him musically along the way. Some would say our sound is similar as well being from the same city,Chicago,IL. But id also like to give a Big s/o to Donnell Jones, Ginuwine, Carl Thomas, Michael Jackson & family & Many More because they all inspired me greatly throughout my life of music. Of course s/o my children for keeping me going daily, my parents for coaching me through life itself, my siblings & my friends for always being there and having my back whenever i thought to give up on anything in this life & also even some of my haters just for the becoming a motivation for me to also continue to get better & do better ,lol
