We had the good fortune of connecting with Cal Deezzi and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Cal, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Risk taking is a key part to success and is an important part. I feel that it has helped me personally by gaining experience and understanding in what it is that I am and have been pursuing, and finding out what it is that I do and do not want to do.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
In 2015, I signed a Publishing and Distribution deal with Downtown Music Publishing in LA under Philly Swain and The Parade Records. During that time I was able to work with a lot of different artist. My biggest achievement to date has been the commercial that I landed with Nike in 2018, in conjunction with the NBA.Nothing has nor will ever come easy. Staying focused, dedicated and prayerful has brought me through all encounters of hinderance.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I think that everyone in your corner and that you have encountered deserves a bit of credit based on the experience gained from the meeting. Personally, my family is my main motivation and gets the credit for my current success.
