We had the good fortune of connecting with C Wood and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi C, is there something you believe many others might not?
“ the sky is the limit”

This is very generally and conveniently used phrase/ piece of advice that people like to use. To me the sky is NOT THE LIMIT. You’re supposed to shoot for the stars and fall for the clouds. To me that response just exemplifies that you can have dreams and aspirations that are out of this world and as long as you BELIVE in your own final result you can never fail horribly. When you reach for the stars and NOT succeed at least you’ll get as far as the clouds.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My brand TEHO is an acronym for “TO EACH HIS OWN”. This to mean just means INDIVIDUALITY in itself. Teho represents bold but sleek ideas in the fashion world that can be absorbed in either the men or women fashion world. I’m all for equality, we have no room to judge or put perspective on anyones way of life and my brand supports that by creating multiple pieces that cater to both women and men fashion. My brand is unique because it gives that perfect blend between StreetWear and high end luxury clothing. Alongside having multiple manufactured widespread UNIQUE designs we also deliver 1 of 1 pieces to customers also. I wouldn’t be where I am today without the influence of my mom and her push on being my own individual. A lot of times growing up in highschool most of my clothing was thrifted which is way before it became a fad to do, simply because she didn’t always have the funds to by brand new things from the mall and what not, but we would find dope old school pieces or brands like Tommy Hilfiger and Nautica to use and style and create my own looks. I had a 90’s style back in the time of 2009-2013 and that was influenced by my mom always telling me I didn’t have to have the lastest fashion to be the freshest. That idea stemmed to not only giving me the confidence to wear what I PERSONALLY liked but to be different and still be flier that most. My brand started sort of by accident. I only wanted to create pieces for myself so I didn’t have to always worry about spending so much money in malls and what not just to leave the house and go to an event and look like the next person who may have had bought a similar piece of clothing. After viewers seen my original pieces I was bombarded with requests for original pieces that favored the pieces I made myself. Therefore I create my first overly popular piece called “Ellie” pants and that jump states the whole brand.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would first take them to a couple of art museums like high museum for example. A lot of people never been to a dope exhibit before so they shy away from things like museum but I would first and foremost do that. Then we’d visit trap museum to give them a REAL Atlanta vibe, following that we would go to a couple spots like, painted pin for bowling, or eating at places like nouveau to get that peach cobbler cheesecake (HIGHLY recommend), or try something new like duck bowling. I would want them to experience Edgewood vibes also or one of the predominant clubs out here because Atl nightlife is unlike many other cities

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I give most praise to my mother as far as my work ethic. I’ve never seen a person who worked so hard to genuinely make sure SOMEONE else was doing well (me and my sister). I secondly give a HUGGE thanks and much gratitude to my other half marrywanna. I’ve always been the person who stuck out in my selected group of friends growing up rather it was my fashion choices, my creative expression in the way I do things etc, but having someone in your corner who supports your creativeness and embraces your talents will forever help prevail your imagination and confidence. I’ve always been confident as any creative should be but of course having a person behind you who supports ALLL your work and thoughts just give you that much push to want to pursue what you inspire to pursue. Everyone has ideas some great some not so great but the world will never know if those ideas are great or not if you NEVER RELEASE THEM. Having her in my life she gave me the extra help to make it that much easier to press that green button and release my ideas and express mu creative notions to the world without the thought of judgment of others.
