We had the good fortune of connecting with Byron Hopkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Byron, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Byron Inspires Growth and the Growth Seekers Academy were born from one core belief — healing is contagious when it’s witnessed. Our mission is to help people Recognize, Reframe, and Release the emotional burdens that hold them back so they can become their most healed, highest selves.

Through our courses, live workshops, speaking engagements, and community initiatives, we teach emotional intelligence and nervous system awareness in a practical, modern, and accessible way. Whether a corporation, organization, school, professional, business owner, student, or parent — we help people understand that emotional regulation and mental strength aren’t luxuries; they’re essential life skills.

That mission led to my new book, “Mental Health is a Lie,” which takes readers on that same journey from awareness to transformation. It’s not just a book — it’s a mirror, a framework, and a movement designed to help people unlearn survival and remember how to live W.H.O.L.E.

We’ve seen how transformation ripples outward. When one person heals, their relationships shift. Families communicate differently. Workplaces become more empathetic. Communities move from survival to growth. That’s the world we’re building — one healed heart at a time.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Byron Inspires Growth was built from the belief that healing and personal growth shouldn’t feel complicated — it should feel human. What started as a one-person mission to make emotional intelligence and mental wellness more accessible has evolved into a global movement helping people heal out loud and grow from the inside out.

Through our educational arm, Growth Seekers Academy, and our flagship framework, SoulScience: Alchemy™, we teach individuals how to Recognize, Reframe, and Release the emotional weights that keep them from living at their highest potential. From private coaching to corporate workshops and retreats, we blend neuroscience, emotional intelligence, and storytelling to create transformation that lasts.

It wasn’t an easy journey. Building a brand rooted in truth and transparency meant going against trends and choosing depth over hype. But every challenge built resilience — and that’s what we now teach others to cultivate.

What sets us apart is our focus on fundamental transformation, not just the dissemination of information. At Byron Inspires Growth, we don’t just help people heal — we help them rise, lead, and live W.H.O.L.E.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m just a year into living in this amazing city and still have a lot of exploring to do (and am also always taking recommendations!). But if someone were visiting Atlanta for a week, I’d want them to experience what makes this city special — the balance of soul, creativity, and God’s creations. Must do’s – A walk or bike ride on The Beltline or Silver Comet Trail, Matcha from Dancing Goats, a show at The Tabernacle, one of the many weekend farmer’s markets, and festivals, patties from Earthone, Buford highway for delicious asian food, relaxing and people watching at Piedmont Park, record shopping at Mood Music, get soul food and sea food, the Herb Shop of Vinings for the best in everything healing and great conversation with Mr. Jeff the owner, a live sport (the energy is crazy!), Wylie and Rum for brunch, the High Museum, the Botanical Garden, Chattahoochee Food Works, Ponce City Market, dinner at Apt 4B. Like I mentioned though, we’re still new here, so readers – share your favorites too!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
No version of my story exists without the people who believed in me when life felt the heaviest. First and foremost, I have to acknowledge my fiancée Melissa – better known as Freckles. She’s been my anchor, my mirror, and the heartbeat behind everything we’ve built. Her strength, insight, and steady belief in me have allowed this vision to take form with purpose and clarity.

I also want to extend my deepest gratitude to the Growth Seekers Academy community and everyone who has trusted SoulScience: Alchemy™ — your healing journeys continue to shape mine. Each story, each breakthrough, each shared moment of transformation fuels the work we do.

As we prepare to release my new book, “Mental Health Is a Lie” which releases November 11, 2025, I’m reminded daily that this movement was never about me — it’s about us. From my brothers and mentors, to every person choosing to heal out loud — you’re all proof that when one of us rises, we all rise.
