We had the good fortune of connecting with Brodrick Mcdowell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brodrick, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from Charlotte North Carolina. Born and raised on beatties ford rd. My life wasn’t the best but it wasn’t all bad. But I had to teach my self how to be a man. There was things grandma couldn’t teach me. And see all the things I seen growing up and it stuck with me and it became stories in my mind and I learn how to put it together and I found myself writing scripts and I’m currently in progress of filming my movie Favor for a Favor which will be out soon.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Iam a film writer I’ve been writing for 10 years I’ve sold most of my projects but I’m working on my very own project and putting some of my own work out.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Where do I start. Well first I would have to take them to eat at the real milk and honey the best place I ever ate. I don’t drink so I couldn’t tell them much about that. We would definitely attend a Boosie event at the Boosie estates. Visit the trap museum, Atlanta zoo, and some amazing comedy shows at uptown comedy club. It’s so much to do in atl and can’t forget the night life like Vvs , king of diamonds just to name a few.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to shoutout Boosie Badazz he accepted me into his home and gave me game that helped me. He open doors that I never that could be open for me. I wanna thank my family for being family. And a special shoutout to my mom Annie McDowell for doing all she could as a mother for me and I love her and may she rest in peace.
