Hi Brandersen, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The decision to start my own business, WLVES Digital Cinema, in January 2023, was driven by the realization that I needed access to resources beyond my individual capacity. While I had prior experience running a production company with another entity, I recognized the need for the freedom to make critical decisions for growth. With this in mind, I aspired to build a brand that could grow with me.

Drawing inspiration from Wolves, WLVES Digital Cinema embodies a pack-like mentality. Like a tightly-knit pack, we foster collaboration and collective effort. By adopting this mindset, we create an environment where talented professionals come together to produce exceptional results in the genre of corporate marketing and documentary storytelling. Our collaborative approach allows us to exceed the limitations of any individual, leveraging diverse skill sets and perspectives.

We hold a strong commitment to authentic storytelling. We believe that genuine and relatable narratives have the power to deeply resonate with audiences. Our approach involves capturing the essence of human experiences, emotions, and perspectives, going beyond surface-level storytelling. In essence, my motivation for starting my own business was driven by the desire to unlock a realm of resources and decision-making authority that would propel me beyond my existing limitations. WLVES Digital Cinema acts as a collaborative force, bringing together talented professionals to produce exceptional results in the area of corporate marketing, branded content, and documentary storytelling. This approach allows us to produce exceptional work that exceeds what any one individual could accomplish alone. My art is rooted in the transformative power of branded storytelling. What sets me apart from others is my ability to adapt to the evolving marketing landscape and craft immersive experiences that resonate with audiences on a deep level. I take pride in my International Award Winning status, having been recognized and screened at Film Festivals in Italy, France, China, and across the United States. This recognition is a testament to my commitment to excellence and the impact my work has had on both local and global stages.

My journey to where I am today professionally has been a culmination of hard work, dedication, and a passion for my craft. It certainly wasn’t an easy path, as the creative industry is inherently challenging and competitive. However, I overcame these obstacles by staying true to my vision and embracing a collaborative approach with marketing teams. This allowed me to leverage my vast knowledge and expertise to strategically develop authentic and compelling storytelling plans for my clients.

The lessons I have learned along the way have been invaluable. I have realized the importance of constantly evolving and staying ahead of industry trends. My ability to adapt and embrace new technologies and techniques has been crucial in delivering cutting-edge branded content that captivates audiences. Furthermore, maintaining authenticity and building trust with my clients and their audiences has been a guiding principle. I have learned that genuine connections and a strong brand identity are essential for successful storytelling.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’d say with my 20 years of experience in rollerblading. I’d start the week by taking them out to Newnan Skatepark for a quick session with other Atlanta based bladers at one of the best parks in the state. We’d then make plans to go to Monday Night Garage for a SK8TL Thursday Night Skate where they can experience the authentic nature of the Atlanta skating scene and why Atlanta has become such a force in developing a strong rollerblading/skating community. If you find yourself in the West End you can’t miss the opportunity to visit Lean Draft House which is a local restaurant in the West End that serves great food, wide selection of craft beer, and amazing cocktails. From there we’d have to go to an Atlanta United game so they can check out one of the best fan experiences. The final day would be chill one with a skate on the beltline and going over to Ponce City Market for a nice wrap up.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am grateful to have encountered numerous individuals who have played significant roles in my journey, making it challenging to pinpoint just one for my shoutout. However, there are four individuals who stand out prominently and deserve recognition for their invaluable contributions.

First and foremost, I owe a tremendous Debt of Gratitude to my friend, Richard Williams. Throughout the various stages of my life, Richard has been an unwavering source of support and inspiration. His guidance and belief in my abilities were instrumental in propelling me into the field I am in today. While I had always nurtured a deep desire to pursue this particular path, it was Richard who truly showcased its feasibility. Through his unwavering encouragement and unwavering belief in my potential, he helped me realize that my dreams were within reach. Richard’s unwavering support continues to fuel my passion and drive, making him an indispensable force in my journey.

Another individual who deserves to be mentioned is Eric Nine. Eric has been instrumental in fostering an environment of creative freedom in our collaborations, consistently challenging the boundaries and raising the bar. Working alongside Eric has not only provided me with incredible learning opportunities but has also encouraged me to push my limits and explore new horizons. His commitment to innovation and his relentless pursuit of excellence have been influential in shaping my approach to my craft. Eric’s unwavering belief in my abilities and his willingness to push me beyond my comfort zone have been catalysts for my growth and development.

Additionally, I would like to extend my appreciation to Melania Armenta, who has been an influential figure in my life. Melania possesses a unique ability to recognize untapped potential and seize upon it with unwavering determination. She saw something in me that others might have overlooked and wholeheartedly believed in my capabilities. Melania’s unwavering support and belief in my potential have been instrumental in my growth and development. Her guidance and encouragement have pushed me to explore new avenues and embrace opportunities that I may have otherwise overlooked. Melania’s faith in me has ignited a fire within, inspiring me to continuously strive for excellence and reach for my goals.

Lastly, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Ryan Timms, a remarkable individual who has played a significant role in my professional growth. When I made the decision to leave my previous job and embark on a new path, Ryan was one of the first people I reached out to. His wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field I was venturing into made him an invaluable resource.

Working with Ryan has been a transformative experience. Every collaboration with him has been a learning opportunity, and I have gained a wealth of insights and skills under his guidance. Ryan’s willingness to share his expertise, offer guidance, and provide constructive feedback has been instrumental in my professional development. His mentorship has not only expanded my knowledge base but has also instilled in me a strong sense of confidence and ambition.
