We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Marsh and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bianca, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
I have always loved makeup and fashion. I decided that I would like to develop my own lipstick/lipgloss brand. Lipstick and lip glosses are the most commonly used makeup among women. Most women want something on their lips whether they are going to work, running errands, or headed for a night out on the town. I wanted to develop a brand that offered something for all ages and skin types. My goal was to offer top quality and affordable lip products.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I have spent the majority of my career in healthcare. I am proud of working in a behavioral health role. I encourage people to seek treatment for their mental health issues. I take great pride in being able to help people who need healthcare information or services. There are many challenges that healthcare workers face and sometimes it can be very stressful. I have learned to have patience, and always treat people with respect and compassion.
As a result of my years in healthcare, I wanted a cosmetic brand that was paraben free, FDA approved, free of harsh chemicals, and made in the USA.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I reside in Chattanooga. My city is known for the Chattanooga Choo Choo which is a beautiful place to visit and take a tour. One of my favorite places to eat is The Boathouse. They have a wonderful deck that you can dine on while overlooking the Tennessee River. Chattanooga has so many neat places to visit such as Ruby Falls, Rock City, Umbrella Alley and the Tennessee Aquarium. There is so much to experience in our beautiful scenic city.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would have to give a lot of credit to my granny. She loved wearing lipstick and never left the house without any on. She always told me that I could do anything I put my mind too. Although, she spent most of her life as a housewife, she encouraged me to work hard, take care of family and follow my dreams. LipsBYB has a beautiful red matte lipstick which is named after her “Martha Jean”.
