We had the good fortune of connecting with Bianca Harrison and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Bianca, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The legacy. The legacy to leave my children something. The ability to pick up where I left off and continue the marathon. My last name, their last name is their business (LLC). The older I get the more wiser I become in business. My daughter will soon be twenty-one, I’m showing & molding her for things to set her up and show her brothers later on down the line. Starting your own business is a big deal in this day and time. I’m constantly learning & growing. The Future is how you prepare, NOW.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m an Author and a Real Estate Investor. I have published several books and have just completed my sixth novel slated to be released May 2020, “Who Is He To You,” under my publishing company, Harrison Publications. I also do some Real Estate Wholesaling on the side and have partnered with some family members and we invest in Mobile Homes, Tahoe Management LLC, Nothing comes easy. It takes hard work, dedication, the late night grid, sleepless nights, and mindset. I’m most proud of my writing skills, with each book I involve. My writing gets better with each book and I amaze myself in what I put in it, meaning “Did I actually go there?” Not being afraid of what anyone thinks and just do me. I remember when I first started writing, I was scared to put my book out because of what people may think, that quickly went out the window. In order to be successful, you have to not give a f@#%…In which, investing also brought on a new meaning of wanting more. Freedom, persay. So many challenges, but lots of opportunity. No one is never to old for success. I don’t care if you are 30, 37, 42, 50, if you want it bad enough, you’ll find away. #noexcuses
Any great local spots you’d like to shoutout?
OMG so many places in the City to Visit, I love food. If my friend from out of town visited, we’ll probably end up at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen. Probably go to the City Winery (wine tasting) and hear some good music, Relax at a bookstore to get our minds right, Go to Little Five Points, take a visit to The King Center, and soak up some sun at Centennial Olympic Park. I’m truly a home body and love to dance, so anything with some good music soothes me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First and foremost, I’ll like to shout out my squad (my family, readers, & book clubs). The support is unmatched. I’ve met a ton of people throughout my journey as a author and investor, so I’ve had several mentors in the background, they know who they are, thank you!
