Meet Axe Limbert | Music Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Axe Limbert and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Axe, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
I think what can be looked at originally as just pure risk. After proper consideration, research and practice, is usually a good bet or calculated option. I took and still take risks but my approach has changed considerably learning from bad risks I bet on in the past. I believe winners fail more than failures try and taking risks is a huge part of that and success in general. experience with preparation mitigate the level of risk per taken risk.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a musical artist. I rap, sing and play saxophone. I think my music is different than most because it’s kind of hip-hop, kind of pop. Sort of a fusion of both with a saxophone solo sprinkled in here and there. I have catch choruses but meaningful lyrics that when not being silly have a message that speaks to a lot of people. The two biggest things going on for me right now are my album is coming out a track at a time for the next couple months and I just hosted my biggest show ever about a week ago. It wasn’t easy to get where I am now, I wouldn’t trade it for the world and I still have a long way to go. I’ve learned that no one’s going to do it for you. If you want it go get it. If you don’t know how, learn. Then go get it. You have to be your biggest critic and coach. If I could tell the world anything I think it’d just be use me as inspiration to follow and achieve your dreams.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We’d end up going to a lot of pop up comedy and music shows all week between Sole Joles and Rivet. We go to the Alley during the day for outdoor live music and drinks during the car show all down high st.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My family. My parents have been my biggest supporters and support system since day 1. Also my inspiration. My father has been in a bluegrass band since I was a kid and inspired me to get into music and learn instruments. And my mother can sing great harmonies on the spot. Very lucky to have them.
