Meet Averie Jones | Doctor of Physical Therapy, Founder/Owner/CEO of Infinite Therapeutics and INFINITE Wear

We had the good fortune of connecting with Averie Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Averie, how do you think about risk?
I look at risk as the path between potential and opportunity. It’s said that potential is about tomorrow while opportunity is about today. It’s easy to sit and dream of tomorrow while letting that potential and passion fester inside of you, growing stronger and stronger, waiting to be presented with an opportunity to showcase it. I think risk is the creation of your desired opportunity, as opposed to just waiting and hoping for any opportunity to come.

Taking risks has played a momentous role in my life and especially in my career. On my very first day of PT school, I literally said “yeah, I’m gonna start my own practice”, and immediately began researching to see if it was feasible as a new graduate in the field. Not only battling my own doubt and hesitation, I was met with external voices discouraging the idea of starting my own practice as such a newbie in the profession. Then, I remembered who I was, the God I serve and the vision He had given me, and the power He had equipped within me – and it became the easiest risk to ever take.

Due to the risks I’ve taken, I am the Founder and CEO of both a thriving private practice and an athleisure clothing brand consisting of specifically crafted active/gym, lounge, and everyday wear. Not only in terms of business creation, but I have also been able to connect with and add to my network of amazing people due to taking risks and those leaps of faith.

Fun Fact about me: I LOVE trying new things. One of my favorite things about myself is that I am willing to try ANYTHING at least once and I am always encouraging others to step out of their comfort zones as well. “Find comfort in the unknown” is one of my favorite phrases. 

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Infinite Therapeutics LLC is a self-pay concierge/mobile physical therapy practice with a focus on performance training and holistic wellness. We specialize in providing on-site services to entrepreneurs, entertainers (musicians, dancers, actors, photographers, artists, etc.), and businesses (employee recognition and/or wellness days, teacher appreciation days, etc.) We incorporate practices including but not limited to: cannabis therapeutics, craniosacral therapy, cupping therapy, dry-needling, and aquatic therapy as it relates to whole body healing and overall functional improvement in order to return to optimal performance.

INFINITE Wear is an athleisure clothing brand offering pieces that are specifically crafted and designed to support, promote, and optimize movement and performance while looking and feeling INFINITE. Our mission is to provide stylish, high-quality clothing for men, women, and kids that empowers individuals to embrace their individuality and Multiply The Power Within. We are committed to offering a wide range of comfortable, yet fashionable, active and everyday wear. We believe each one of you embodies infinite power and our clothes are here to make you look how you should feel – INFINITE!

I am most proud of the fact that I haven’t backed down from a single challenge I’ve faced throughout this entire process, and that I am able to give myself grace in every circumstance.

Getting to where I am now business-wise wasn’t necessarily “challenging” for me, but it did take a lot of intentionality, planning, and risk-taking. Being that I love taking risks and always had the goal of having my own practice, starting my business just made sense, there was nothing daunting about the decision. The biggest thing for me was making sure I had all of the legalities straight and that my professional licenses wouldn’t be compromised in any way for whatever reason. Any challenges I faced were mental and I overcame them by simply reminding myself of a phrase I would often say to myself: “Continue to chase your dreams, you’re the type to actually catch them”. When you live in your purpose and allow God to use you, even the most challenging of circumstances are able to be handled with ease.

Lessons learned along the way (going to try to keep it brief) include:
Give yourself grace
Remember your “why”
Multiply The Power Within (numerous times, my own slogan acted as a learned lesson)

I want the world to know that I truly believe everyone is Infinite in their own way. I want people to get the same feeling from my brand that they get from me – authenticity, love, power, encouragement, motivation – all the things this world will take from you and make you think they no longer exist. When people hear INFINITE, Infinite Therapeutics, INFINITE Wear, Multiply The Power Within – I want it to invoke a feeling of “anything is possible”, “I am capable”, “I am equipped”, “I was MADE for this”, “I AM INFINITE”. I want INFINITE to be your reminder that you can too, and there are people out here willing and ready to help you be your infinite self!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would definitely eat good food and tend to our inner big kid! We would hit some local spots where we could play games, grab some drinks, watch sports games and just vibe. We would go hiking and do outdoor activities to connect with nature.

I love laughing and my friends do as well, so a comedy show is a must. There’s so much to do in Atlanta and I just moved up here myself two years ago, so I’m still exploring new options weekly!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout is dedicated to my entire village with my parents spearheading as the driving force. None of this would be possible without my parents as they have supported each and every one of my endeavors, even when they themselves were afraid of me taking the risk. They raised me to never look down on another person nor to think of myself as less than any other person. They’ve instilled qualities in me that allow me to boldly show up in this world as my authentic, compassionate, and cheerful self. All of who I am today, is due to who they are to me.

To my loved ones, my family and friends who’ve become family, shoutout to y’all for the continued encouragement and genuine love. For continuously seeing me for who I really am, for embracing and fostering that lively soul that you contribute to bringing out of me, and for reminding me of who I am when my low days cause me to forget.

To my former coaches and mentors, shoutout to y’all for always vocalizing what was seen in me by others, reminding me to never settle for less, and to always be a leader. I could have never fathomed how such words would have such an impact and remain with me forever.
