Hi AUC, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We weren’t sure the direction we wanted to go once we moved down to Atlanta back in 2021, but we received a scholarship to attend CAU for grad school and everything changed. Once we begun to attend, we saw that there was a lack of information being shared with students and many didn’t know what was going on, so we started The AUC Central, LLC. to fill that void and to make sure students are never in the dark with what’s happening academically and culturally around the Atlanta University Center Consortium (CAU, SPELMAN, Morris Brown, and Morehouse).

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We Are The Top Source For All Things Atlanta University Center. We Have A Clothing Brand Partnership With @hbcustomizations And Our Brand Has Been Shown On MTV’s Nick Cannon Presents: Wild N’ Out. We Have A Partnership With Atlanta Dream. We Have Had To Learn How To Suffer Losses Fast And Bounce Back Quick. Our Platform Was Hacked 3 Times In The Past 3 Years And Each Time, We Find A Way To Not Only Recover Financially, But Not Loose The Momentum That Our Brand Has Produced. This Brand Has Helped Us Live Comfortably In Atlanta, Be Seen On Social Media With A Brand We Been Major Fans Of, 85 South Show, And Just Give Students Not Just In The AUC But All Around Atlanta And The Nation, That From The Moment They Wake Up Til The Moment They Go To Sleep, They’ll Know Exactly What’s Happening And Will See Things From A Lense From Our Point Of View Persay.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
We want to shoutout every single student within the Atlanta University Center whom for the past 3 years entrusted us to provide them with info of things happening around the community. We also want to shoutout CAU Alumni, Fabe, Fly GuyDC, Coach Alfred Jordan, and Justin Miller, and current CAU senior, RayyMonBeatz, whom have taken the time to help us expand our platform and have it seen more within the past couple of years and also Julius McAllister III, A Morehouse Alum, whom has been an instrumental part of assisting with the brand since its inception! Also, shoutout to our business partners throughout Atlanta from Crowded Functions, YDI, And Pariah.
