We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Walter and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The Walter Law Group was created to fight for families and business owners in the Atlanta Area. Since 2020, we have fought to be a voice for those who are usually overlooked within the legal system, such as fathers. Through that fight, we have helped reunite children with their parents and provided a sense of stability for families that have been subject to divorce.
We also have worked to build businesses that are proactive instead of reactive, striving to ensure each business has the legal foundation and protection that they need to sustain success and longevity.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The Walter Law Group is a Business and Family Law Firm located in Atlanta Georgia. Some of our services include, contract drafting, contract negotiations, business litigation, trademarks, general/ in-house counsel, divorces, legitimation, modifications and child custody.
One thing that set’s us apart from other law firms is our true dedication to our client’s and their desired outcomes. Each client truly becomes family, and therefore we strive to be their voice while we fight for them inside and outside of the courtroom.
My firm and myself got where we are today through prayer and dedication. It was truly not easy opening a law firm so young, but knowing that I belong in every single room and courtroom I enter helps me approach each case with the confidence and clear mind to fight relentlessly for my clients. One thing that I have learned during my time practicing is that if you do right by your client’s and their case (truly do right by them), success will follow effortlessly. You will never have to ask for a referral or a review, because your work and the results that you were able to achieve will then speak for itself.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
As a native of the ATL, I would take my friend to experience the ATL culture through food, experiences and music. Some of the food places we would stop by would be Corner Cafe Hot Wings (Union City), American Deli (so Atlanta!), Toast on Lennox, Nana’s Chicken & Waffles, Brake Pad and Waffle House (only for the experience!).
We would hang out and grab a drink at Suite Lounge, Pasha or The Vault.
We would check out the Roof Top at Ponce, a perfume or body butter making class, Friday Night at the High Art Museum , sporting game and some type of music or food festival.
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my village ( husband, parents, family, friends and mentors) who are no doubt the reason for my success today. While we can put in the time and show up to do the work each day, it is our village who constantly pours into us, prays for us, encourages us, and puts our names in rooms that we have not even walked into. It’s our village who see’s our worth and cheers us through each step of the way. We cannot and have not walked through any journey alone; we all have at least one person in our village whether close by or afar who has helped us to become the person we are today. So, shoutout to mine!
