We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Stidons and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I’m from Waynesboro Ga also known as Burke County. Im a single parent of two handsome young men Stevens and Messiah. I starting working Georgia Department of Corrections in 2013 as a correctional officer for 8 years and Burke County Sheriff Office for 1 year. In the process of becoming a mom and working I completed my associates degree and bachelors degree in criminal justice. It was hard finding a job in my field of criminal justice, I would go to interviews and never got a call back. So I sat down one day and starting researching about trucking dispatching and saw how it could help me help truck drivers who were having a hard time finding loads. I took a dispatching course and got certified or dispatching. I gave myself five months to study all the material and when I felt confident I went through the process of starting my business.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’m the owner of Lady and Son’s Dispatching LLC which service owner operators with their own authority’s. My services are 24/7, I help new truckers start their businesses and find loads in order for the to make money. So if someone calls 3am in the morning I’m up finding them a load or educating them on what they need to start their business. My business has grown due to professionalism and being confident. I advertise on social media but I go to where truckers are and personally meet them. I want them to know who’s working with them and just to build that relationship with them even if they don’t use my services they can let other people know about my services.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
There are so many found places in the city to visit and hang out. But my found place to visit is the Georgia aquarium and my favorite places to eat would be the Cheesecake Factory and food terminal.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to thank my kids Stevens and Messiah for being in my life to keep pushing me to better. And also my mom, cousin Brittany and Lea for supporting me and giving me advice to put my best foot forward.
