We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Anthony and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ashley, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite quote is a bible scripture Job 22:28 NLT: “You will succeed in whatever you choose to do and light will shine on the road ahead of you.” I love this scripture because it reminds me that even at the times when I face adversity, business-wise or life-wise, God is on my side forevermore. He will make a way for me even when I feel like there’s nothing left to do, he is a way-maker.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I started content creating when I was very young, around the age of 10, before then I would always record myself “vlogging” like the girls I would watch on YouTube. I made a singing channel with my childhood best friend so I could get a taste of what it was like to edit, make content, and post on YouTube. After that, I branched out on my own and really took vlogging serious once I got to high school. I made public interviews, get ready with me’s, and much more, that channel is nearly at 500 subscribers but I decided it was best to restart as I step into adulthood, now I have a new channel. My channel is Amanda Uncut, I share my life, faith, family, and friends on there from another perspective, I hope to reach a bigger audience this time around. I am also a Lash Tech, I started lashing when I was a freshman in college at Georgia State University, just to learn a trade before moving on campus. Now I am a college graduate and I still love what I do. My lash page is @thewinkprincess!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friends are visiting Atlanta, I usually take them to the beltline, fun arcades, Cumberland, or my favorite Mexican restaurant, Fridas. Honorable mention, we would also go to either Skate Towne or Cascade because I love skating.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to thank God, my mom, dad, my little sister Ariel, my loved ones, and especially my big brother Shamari, he always inspired me and reminded me to keep going. After his recent sudden passing, he has taught me that life is short so do everything you want to do before God calls you home.
