We had the good fortune of connecting with Arwin Nassiri and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Arwin, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have always had a passion for trying out different cuisines from around the world. As someone who loves traveling, the first thing I look for in a new city is often the best places to eat. Back in 2019, I realized that my camera-roll was filled with photos I’ve taken in different cities of the food I’ve tried. I decided to create my international food-page @globalgrubbery to showcase some of the foods I’ve tried from around the world and after a year of running that page, I was contacted by the Food Heads brand to run their Atlanta branch (@atlantafoodheads). This was the beginning of my creative journey within Atlanta and exploring the city’s food scene so far has been an amazing experience

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
We partner with restaurants and food providers in the Atlanta area to put together curated content to showcase some of the good foods we try.

What sets us apart?

– I believe what sets us apart from other pages is the amount of exposure that is given across various different platforms – every collab we complete includes two posts on @atlantafoodheads (one photo one video highlight reel), a post on our @globalgrubbery Tik Tok page, and several Instagram story reels.

What are we most proud or excited about?

-Continuing to discover new food spots and sharing them with our audience!

How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way.

– The consistency of our posts along with the wide variety of different cities and cuisines we try have played a large role in our growth. For @atlantafoodheads, we cover all areas of Atlanta including the metro areas. Additionally, we feature different cuisines on our page every day. The biggest challenge we faced was coming about in 2020 – a time where many restaurants were closed/shut down during COVID. We took this time to highlight the importance of supporting these businesses by featuring their take-out and/or delivery capabilities. With things getting back to normal, we learned the importance of helping the community during difficult times.

What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?

– Not only do I love trying new foods in Atlanta, I have a passion for sharing my experiences with others. Whether it’s sharing new places I try to my audience or partnering with restaurants to showcase their best plates, I’m always looking to build new relationships and test new spots out!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
The great thing about Atlanta is the diversity in different things to do including eat and drink. It’s almost impossible to fit our favorite places to eat in a week. I would spend each day exploring the many neighborhoods and good eats in Atlanta while dedicating a day to each. Midtown, Buckhead, Downtown, Atlantic Station, Little Five Points, East Atlanta Village, Old Fourth Ward – the list goes on! Some great food halls that would certainly be on the itinerary include Chattahoochee Food Works, Politan Row at Colony Square, Krog Street, Ponce City Market, and the Marietta Square Market..

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The many restaurants and food providers I’ve built relationships and partnerships with over the past year or so. The resiliency displayed by many of these establishments during 2020 to push through tough times is something that has inspired me to continue to promote the good food we try!
