We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Clint Jr. and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The most important factor behind my success and the success of my brand is the ability to add value to others and their situations. That value comes in different forms such as information, skillset, work ethic, etc.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m a music producer/composer specializing in music for TV & film. I’m proud to have had music placed in productions such as Keeping Up With The Kardashians (E!), Black Ink Crew (VH1), Catfish (MTV), Nappily Ever After (Netflix), NAACP Image Awards (TV One), Emmy Award-Winning series Born This Way (A&E), and others.
I got to where I am by believing what I envisioned was possible and never wavering in the belief that I can make it happen through hard work and consistency. It definitely isn’t always easy. The journey has it’s ups and downs just like anything else in life, but it’s a blessing to be able to wake up every day knowing you are doing what you are great at.
I learned that challenges are there to make you stronger and to be used as learning experiences to go to the next level. I take the lessons and mistakes, learn from them and then get back up and try again without stopping. The only difference between someone who is successful and someone who isn’t , is the fact the the successful person never stopped.
My focus now as a music entrepreneur is continuing to produce music for TV, film & media. I also coach other producers on how they can generate royalties and additional streams of income through music licensing and entrepreneurship. Music licensing can be a powerful aid to indie producers who want to build their brand, credibility, and income. I’m here to show them how.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I definitely have to shoutout God for placing me on this earth and trusting me with the gifts and talents he has given me to help and inspire others. My parents for instilling in me the mentality that I can do whatever I set my mind to do and believing in me during every step of my musical journey. My 3 bros Chris, Devan & Neal for listening to all of my horribly produced and mixed beats back in the day when we were figuring this stuff out. My wife who has always been so supportive, encouraging and sacrificing during my journey while challenging me to pursue the best version of myself and my music.
I want to shoutout Andrell Cooks for being the first artist I produced after starting my company, Clint Productions, back in 2009. My guy Dwight “Skrapp” Reynolds for being a good friend, a music industry mentor and giving me my first shot at producing for a major artist. My bro Tiyon “TC” Christian for trusting me to pull me in on some of his songs and major projects. Tina E. Clark, another mentor who showed me the importance of giving value and consistency dropping content in my niche.
My bro Robert Chandler for putting me up on game as far as making music for TV & film during our Ohio State days. My bro Oli for being one of the first songwriters and friends I connected with when I moved to Atlanta. Always showing love and giving value.
Everyone who has ever licensed music, bought a beat, service or product from me, thank you! I wouldn’t be where I am today without all of you.
