Meet Annery Cabral | Artist, Song Writer, & Network Engineer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Annery Cabral and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Annery, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
The process behind starting my own business wasn’t the easiest but it’s definitely the most satisfaction I’ve ever felt. It all began with a constant vision of running a tech and music business. I knew I loved to do music and I also love to work on technology. I started watching YouTube videos and reading mono blogs for upcoming music labels and mom and pop IT shops. All which took major key in creating my business plan. It took me about 4 years to finally figure out how to tie it in a knot and establish Life of DA GEEK, LLC.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am an international song writing artist. I create music in both English and Spanish. My most proudest moment came from composing my first full track “Addicted” when I wasn’t even certain that I could. I overheard an instrumental and began to write to it unknowingly while the actual artist was in the booth recording. The first time I stepped in the booth to listen to what u composed, I did it so well that I knew this was for me. The same cannot be said for my performing live tho. I was petrified that everyone was looking up at me. The best feeling in the world know is seeing Geeks worldwide chant my songs and wear their collar shirts.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit the first place would be waffle house for breakfast, American deli (mild with lemon pepper sprinkles for a snack/ lunch . Wed most definitely hangout in Atlantic stations, Little five points, RuSans , and grab some good ole kilwins ice cream. Some of the dopest places to check out in Atlanta to me: Mlk house, High Museum of art, tangle outlet, metro fun center, Ga Aquarium is a must see in my book.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Honestly my parents are to thank for the fire that was flared. Although I’m from the states, I come from legal immigrants. My father barely finished middle school and mom attended elementary. They own a successful construction company and planted that seed in my ear. If I can dream it, I need to go get it.
