We had the good fortune of connecting with Amy Fuchs and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Amy, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Reputation is the most important factor in my business and I think for any business.
I wanted to build a reputation for my businesses representing Quality Service, Integrity, and Value.
I want every person who works with me and my team to walk away saying that was a great experience and I am so happy I chose to work with them.

My businesses are InFocusPlus (Housing and Locations for the Entertainment Industry) and The FamilyHomesGa Team, Your Local Real Estate Pros. In both businesses, we have the opportunity to serve our clients with one of the most important components of their lives, their homes. Actors, Executives, and Producers travel often and work long hours, they want a comfortable home away from home when in Atlanta for a production. Families, Seniors, First Time Home Buyers, Newlyweds, New Parents, College Graduates … they all have different needs and budgets but in the end, they are looking for a place to call “Home” that fits their lifestyle at this point in their life. As the saying goes, “there is no place like home” and I take pride in being able to hand our clients keys to their “Home”.

What should our readers know about your business?
The FamilyHomesGa Team: Our approach to Real Estate focuses on being your Realtor for Life. Much like a Financial Advisor, and as part of your Wealth Building Team, we focus on PEOPLE and their lives and how we can help them transition from a First Time Home Buyer to a Move Up Buyer or from their to their Dream Home. Later in life, we will help them find a stunning Ranch near their grandchildren. We are here to help PEOPLE through their life changes and to help build Wealth through Real Estate.

We take our vast real estate network and knowledge and bring it to the Film Industry through InFocusPlus.

At InFocusPlus the magic of filmmaking meets effortless planning. We understand that creating memorable cinematic experiences requires more than just talent, it demands the perfect setting and comfortable accommodations for the cast and crew.

Additionally, when Productions are looking for Filming Locations to purchase we shine the brightest. Understanding the needs of a production crew brings great comfort to our clients as we present them with housing options perfect for their specific and unique needs.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love my hometown of Duluth, Georgia and if you came to visit we would certainly enjoy some of the wonders of Atlanta which is only about 25 minutes away. But once we were finished enjoying the magnificent Georgia Aquarium, walked through Piedmont Park, and smelled the roses at the Botanical Gardens we would spend a few days in my lovely city.

Downtown Duluth has blossomed in the past 10 years with magnificent restaurants and boutiques but it still holds that small-town feel that I love.

We would start our morning at Coffee That Matters aka Pheonix Roasters, on Old Peachtree Road. I love strong coffee and I love supporting local small businesses so this is a double win for me. If it is a hot day, perhaps a draft cold brew iced coffee would be in order.

We would then go about a mile or so to our downtown area and perhaps take in a show at
Eddie Owens Presents. I describe Eddie Owens as the “CBGBs of Atlanta”. Its intimate setting makes every performance a special one. I love the summer matinees they offer occasionally.

Lunch at Nacho Daddy seems like a good idea.
They have two locations, one in Las Vegas and one in Duluth. If it is not too hot we can enjoy one of their specialty drinks and amazing nachos on their outdoor patio.

After lunch, we can walk down to Eye Candy Art Studio or Cool People Sew. Both are on Main Street and we can chat and bring out our creative side at these places.

For dinner, we may want a Grandmother’s Pizza at O4W Pizza. Don’t let the name fool you, their original store is in the Old 4th Ward but they have a cozy place in downtown Duluth too.

We can finish off our spectacular day sampling local brews at one of the 3 small breweries or get a cocktail on the rooftop bar above LR Burger overlooking the square.

Next time you are in the area, look me up! We will have lots of fun.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As I enter the 11th year of my Real Estate Career I see a very bright future for continued success for my FamilyHomesGa and InFocusPlus Teams. As I think about how I got here, several people have influenced me on this amazing journey.

Family Support: I would not have been able to jump into Real Estate, a business where you eat what you kill, and leave a well-paying job with benefits if it weren’t for the support of my Husband and his faith in me. His faith has always been unwavering and energizes me to do well even when I have stumbled along the way.

Who You Do Business With Matters: Mike Moulder, was my Office Team Lead when I moved brokerages and he taught me the power of “Your Big Why.” With Mike, I was able to dig down deep, step outside my comfort zone, find my path to reach my goals, and then celebrate milestones that have focused my motivation. He has helped me pivot when I needed to and kept me on the path to achieving my goals. When I think I can’t do it, I go back to my Big Why, take a deep breath, and change that to an I CAN DO IT and I get it done!

Inspiration from an Industry Leader: While I have only met him in person once, he has inspired me throughout my career and challenged me to think outside the box and be the best that I can be. He has done this through his YouTube Videos, Seminars, and Magnificent Personality. I am speaking of the one and only Tom Ferry.

I urge entrepreneurs to surround themselves with great like-minded people and don’t be afraid to ask for help or be inspired by others. Learning never stops and that is part of what keeps life interesting and moving forward.
