We had the good fortune of connecting with Allen Witcher and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Allen, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
If this question is about your main goals/dreams or life in general Giving up is never an option. Whatever you are pursuing in life. If you are truly doing what leads you to the accomplishment of those goals and dreams you have set for yourself, if you are focused purely on that purpose, that vision of your future, then there is nothing that could deter you from that path or end goal. No force that could stop you from moving forward in your purpose. You overcome all things that would appear as obstacles. Even the difficult parts are a necessary part of the whole. There would be no highs without lows, no light without dark, that is the universal balance. The ebb and flow of the universe. To see from that angle one would have to watch from above and be detached from the current situations of thought. In those small moments of doubts or emotional overloads you have to ground yourself and breath. Zoom out, in a sense, and re examine the big picture.. the big goal.. the end result you have envisioned for your journey. And focus on that. What keeps you going? If it’s rooted in your truth. No need to waiver. Go be great. Change the World. You choose this path and everything that comes with it. If this question is project based, if you are even questioning this, you have to weigh that out, personally, and ask “Is what I’m doing helping me reach my overall goal?” If the answer is no then you know what you have to do. And that’s not “giving up” that’s “stopping and shifting” Follow the feeling. Tune into your intuition.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Life is Art. “The world is a Stage” Spent way to long in a box to continue to put myself in a box. Creatively I follow wherever my passion leads. Music, Film, Photography, Animation, Creative writing, whatever is called upon to complete the vision. I believe that’s what sets me apart is the capability to do a lot of things, versatility. If you took, Donald Glover, Kendrick, Mac, Stevie Nicks Stanley Kubrick, Quentin Tarantino, Cole Bennett, Leonardo DiCaprio, a little bit of Dave Chappelle, some Robot chicken, add anime for seasoning, close the top of this particle blender, mix that all up and you got this clump of particles who calls himself an artist. I took the best things from all my favorite artist/creators over the span of my life and mashed that into my own recipe and continue to do so. Im excited about about all the avenues of creativity I’m about to channel through with media content! Music, film, animation and everything that comes under those categories. To even get to this point where art (music and videography) sustains my income wasn’t an easy journey. I overcame a lot of hardships and had to make a lot of sacrifices. Sacrificing sleep to work multiple jobs when I was working at a factory but I continued to feed the dreams at night. Until the passions and dreams became the new reality. I had to really want it. I learned there is no letting off the gas if you want to make it to where you are going. It’s about who works the hardest. Kobe was Kobe because he put in the work. No shortcuts to mastery and the 10,000 hours mark. If anyone learns anything from my story. I hope that you never let your past or your current circumstances hold you back. You can make a better future now with the power of choice and that’s the beauty of this life we have been given. It’s up to us to make it so. We just have to step into our power.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
The bridge to overlook the city is a classic spot. You will always see others capturing moments and creating here. If I stayed in the city for a week I would have to be shown around and given “the tour” someone to really show me the go to spots. I love finding the pizza spots and the coffee shops when I’m visiting cities.. so Imma flip this question and ask the locals 😂 “what’s the best coffee spot.. and what’s the best pizza spot?” The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutout to the family of creatives around me. We all inspire each other everyday to keep going. We are doing things that haven’t been done before and growing everyday. I wouldn’t be where I was today without a lot of awesome friends traveling along the same path that helped me along the way. I’m grateful for those that have given me the tools to grow and succeed through experiences and knowledge passed on. That’s a major key to growth not only individually but as a society so we can all reach higher heights. There are way to many people to name but I hope my actions continue to prove my gratitude more than my words could. Thanks
