We had the good fortune of connecting with All Day Deshay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi All Day, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
I want to be relatable, authentic, real. Not everybody can resonate with being “the main event” or the popular person that everyone wants to be like, ya know. But I know plenty of people like me, introverts that want to be extroverted or at least have that healthy balance between the two. Also, I feel like I’ve been fortunate enough to get a well rounded perspective of life; having been homeless but also having lived in the suburbs, most people will only get a one dimensional experience. In the words of the late great Nipsey Hussle, “I went through every emotion trying to get where I’m going”.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
You know everybody today trying to rap, especially in ATL. So that’s definitely a challenge I face, this is not for the weak. I’ve went broke for this, slept outside for this, and nobody around me really thought I’d be able to make it happen. Especially not my family, they told me just do it as a hobby. But I’ve always been rebellious since I blessed this planet with my presence, just ask my mama. I work and live check to check, my fan base will be the underdogs and the forgotten. People that struggle with confidence from time to time; people that have to work harder than others to be noticed or valued. See I’m a realist, I understand that life isn’t fair and I don’t try to pretend like I’m not a flawed human just like everyone else. I’m not always right, but I’m also not gonna water down my perspective or my experiences just because others might not agree or approve. Struggle brings a lot of wisdom but I’m still young and I don’t know everything, guess that’s where the nickname “Baby Eagle” came from. Aside from the fact that I’m a fly young individual, of course.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Ok well I’m from all over GA. I’m talking from Cobb County to Clayton. Gwinnett to Decatur, Winder to Cumming. So it’s a lot of different spots that I rock with. However, I spend most of my time in Gwinnett, Berkmar Graduate Nawfside stand up. We got 3 malls, Gwinnett Place, Sugarloaf Mills(Discover), and Mall of GA. For fun we going to Andretti’s and at night we gonna visit Certified Dreams spot called Levels. Shout to Dream too, a Nawfside legend in his own right. I don’t really frequent night clubs, I’ll go on occasion though.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shout out 333 The Studio. An up and coming recording studio that is not only affordable but the quality is the best you’ll get for your money. Also TYL3R DAVIS, an engineer, producer, and artist all in one. The definition of a one man band, he’s a great up and coming talent. His creativity is hard to match, definitely be on the look out for him.
