We had the good fortune of connecting with AJ Joiner and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi AJ, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I understood that in my industry – I could always get a job. Even in a down economy. But as long as I have a job, I don’t own my time. That was more important. Owning my time and opening the potential for doing life my way.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We’ve developed a software as a service platform that makes it easy for authors to write, hire editors, designers, publish and distribute their books to Amazon completely online without jumping through all the hoops in the current book writing process.
I spend over a decade in corporate America on software development projects, and this opportunity was discovered after a project went horribly wrong.
Now, we’re innovating an entire industry.
This is truly a case of turning lemons into lemonade.
I want the world to know that there is always an opportunity if you learn to ask yourself better questions.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
The Landtrust. Bold Monk.
Walking on Chattahoochee Hills.
The Belt Line.
There is so much to see and do here. (Even in a pandemic since Atlanta never really closed. Which isn’t a good thing. lol) Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My Mother and Grandmother. Seeing them work multiple jobs without ever complaining to provide for my siblings and I sorta set the pace for who I would become.
