We had the good fortune of connecting with Adrian Braxton and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Adrian, what inspires you?
I am inspired by other young black successful entrepreneurs. Some people do not need an example of success in order to be successful, but I do. I have always looked up to others, this has not only helped me to lead but also to follow. The first person to inspire me was my mother. She owned and operated a beauty salon. Where she did a little of everything. She did hair, sold small snacks, eyebrow waxing, and offered a nail tech service. Her hustler mentality has always burned a fire inside of me to go out and get my own. This inspired me to finally start my own business where I cater a full hookah smoking experience to any and all events in the metro Atlanta area.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I along with two other associates own and operate a mobile hookah service. We specialize in providing a professional hookah experience to private parties, restaurants, and lounges. We set a tone and vibe for the event we ensure that the guest is having a great time while enjoying our hookah service. Also, I am a micro-influencer. I have a Youtube channel where I talk about hot topics, I do lifestyle content like my morning routine and fashion content. I am most excited to grow my channel and my Instagram page to a bigger and broader audience. I have partnered with a local photographer to help me get my vision across and I am constantly planning new content across all my social media platforms. In addition, I can not wait to get my business to a place where I can help and grow others by teaching them how to run their own business or giving others the opportunity to work alongside me to grow my business and empire What I want people to know about my story is that my path has not been a straight line, it has been zigzagged. Being a black gay male I have been through many ups and downs in life, but I have never given up. I am a very optimistic person. I try to see the silver lining in all situations. Growing up I had to suppress a lot of my creativity in fear of showing others my true colors, but today I stand proud to be who I am without shame, fear, or self-doubt.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If anyone is coming to Atlanta they should come during the summer months. It is much to do outdoors. One of my favorite places to go is the Atlanta Beltline. The beltline has cool art displays and outside restaurants and bars, one of these restaurants is called the James room. It is blacked owned. It is a coffee bar and cafe in front and a restaurant and lounge in the back. Another one of my favorites is Stone Mountain Park. This park offers astonishing scenic views. The best view is from the top of the mountain, so make sure hiking shoes and gym clothes are on. Lastly, if you’re looking for a cool spot to stay while in Atlanta I would recommend Hotel Clermont. This cool mid-sentry hotel offers a comfortable stay, friendly service, and a rooftop bar. As a bonus, it has a downtown tavern where you can enjoy drinks and maybe a show. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out my business partner Dee Johnson @itsinfy. She has always been a driving force in helping me make my visions come to life. I think sometimes it is hard to believe in people who have not already “made it” but her mindset is totally different. She has a light that shines in her that helps her make others around her glow. Like many women I know she is a jack of all trades. She is a micro fashion influencer, podcast host (unsolicited culture), and she an equal business partner in our hookah company High Rise Hookahs.
