We had the good fortune of connecting with Larell Mackey and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Larell, we’d love to start by asking you about lessons learned. Is there a lesson you can share with us?
The most important lesson my business/career has taught me is never give up it’s just not your time yet.

No matter what you go through in your field you’re going to feel like you are not doing enough or you should have been in a better place. But in reality you are exactly where you set yourself up to be, there’s no rush move at your own pace. And once you realize that you can move forward with your plans and grow into a bigger and better business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the owner of Infinite Desires Media. I started my business in 2016 of September at South Carolina State University.

What sets us aside from others is that I’m not afraid to dabble outside the box, get creative. I like to learn as well as teach others what i know.

What I’m most proud about is how far I’ve come with my business and how many lives I’ve impacted through out the years.

How i got to where i am today was not an easy feat. It was so many obstacles that i had to overcome, from individuals doubting me, to making sure everyone was right legally. It’s a hassle but it pays off in the end.

The lessons I’ve learned on the way. Are simple. Not everyone is going to support you… At first, you have to leave them to their own devices and they will come around

I think the world would be proud to see Infinite desires still up and running. And it’s more to come . .

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend came to visit me where I’m currently located then we would have all sorts of adventures .

A week long trip every day would be a photoshoot. But with different scenery.. we have a lot of national forests so explore those..

We would catch a few bars and just have a good time. My friends don’t expect much but a good and relaxing time .

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to shout out the Poor Rich Kidz organization, based in South Carolina. We are an organization that accept all types of artists, from music to dance to art to photography to fire tossing. It’s a bunch of individuals who came to together from various backgrounds to create something special for the kids. Something we didn’t have growing up.

My Grandmother and mother. They stay on me no matter what and makes sure I’m doing in my best interest to excel in life.
