We had the good fortune of connecting with Anna Lonelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Anna, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor behind my success is transparency. I believe the reason people are drawn to my ministry is because of my willingness to share the raw highs and lows of life. I believe I can make more of a connection and Impact with people by sharing the reality that no matter your past mistakes, or what life may throw at you to throw you off course, if you stay rooted in Jesus, you will win!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I began singing when I was just a little girl. In elementary school, my family and I would travel all around the United States ministering at different churches. I would sing, my mother would play the piano, and my brother would preach. We were a mobile ministry that went wherever we were called. Well, as I got older that developed into me recording my own music, singing bgvs for some really cool artist, performing in plays, and even writing scripts of my own. I eventually went to school for Theater and just fell in love with expressing myself through art.

Even though I was a very busy young adult, I always stayed planted in church, using my gift to sing on the worship team. Then I started a group called Anna Lonelle and Concrete Rose. We would sing at for different events and tell as many people as possible about Jesus. Our mission was to erase the stain of shame and condemnation and to show people that God can still use you despite where you’ve come from. Since then I have been able to record a song called “Breath” , “Name above all Names” and “We Bow Down/ Pour it Out” and more, and write a book called “From Grace To Glory: The Story of a Rose which is available on Amazon! In my book I share a raw story of redemption, and grace. I talk about the journey of a gift that has to overcome molestation, family trauma, and depression to become a Rose; a Concrete Rose.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
So, I was born and raised In Atlanta ga. I LOVE my city! This city is full of successful black entrepreneurs with a rich culture. Different areas have their own expression and personality. If I had a friend visit Atlanta, I would first tell them to come visit Embassy City Church off Fulton industrial because it pops off every Sunday and Wednesday! Then I would take them to six flags over Georgia for an exiting thrill. Then I would invite them to one of our county fairs for some funnel cake, and a Turkey leg! And if their feeling risky, they can ride some carnival rides! We would then have to stop at Slutty Vegan in Atlanta to get some bomb vegan burgers and fries! The next day, I would probably bring them to Centennial park, and bring them down auburn ave so they can learn about some of Atlanta’s history.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I absolutely must give recognition to Apostle Bryan Meadows, Pastor Patrice Meadows, and my mentor Psalmist Raine for cultivating my gifts and helping me develop into the worship gift and author that I am today ! They have been a pivotal role in who I am. Although, I was leading worship and doing what I love before I met them. Connecting with them has added so much to what I do. They have been like marksman, training me up to hit the target God has given me.
