We had the good fortune of connecting with Serwa Collins and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Serwa, what makes you happy? Why?
Hmm. What makes me happy? Love. Peace. Unity. Togetherness. Productivity….& other’s happiness.

I’m just one of those individuals that appreciates compassion, love, & integrity -regardless of its dynamic – especially in the world that we are living in now a days. Whether it’s a couple, a younger person helping the elderly, someone giving a stranger a helping hand, etc. I simply enjoy witnessing unison. Mesmerized allows us to continuously witness and to be apart of that.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Mesmerized keeps me busy! Mesmerized is a Romance Concierge company, that specializes in Hotel Suite Decor, Date Nights, & Custom Proposals.

There are so many men (& women) out there that absolutely adore their significant other, but unfortunately, they don’t know how to be romantic w/them, nor do they understand the importance of romance. Normally, when it’s involving intimate matters of the heart, there isn’t anyone else involved…well, unless it’s a wedding. Lol. Normally, it’s just two of them.

However, when the moments comes & you want to plan something special for your partner, but you also want to ensure that it’s a surprise. Unless you have the time, the “know how”, & can maintain the suspense; this is where you normally hit a road block.

Immediately, you begin thinking “how am I going to actually pull this off w/o him or her knowing?!” (Cue the hero music) – Mesmerized to the rescue!

Many people don’t realize that there is actually a business out here that specializes in taking your romantic planning anxiety away, which undoubtedly allows you to focus on what matters the most – your love(r). This is what makes Mesmerized, so unique! We recognized a need and created a solution.

I was able to birth Mesmerized, because I solicited God for direction for about a year straight. I prayed and asked Him to bless me with something that I would love doing, a business that I didn’t have to sit and wait on clients inside of a brick & mortar, and something that I could do that would glorify HIM, because ultimately, God IS LOVE.

Lessons that I’ve learned along the way, is 1) you get better with time, nothing comes over night, 2) you can’t always expect the people that are closest to you to support you, 3) Marketing is Everything! 4) Love will never go out of style and it will forever be a universal language.

I would like for the world to know that here at Mesmerized – Your happiness is our #1 concern. Literally. We love love, and we love witnessing others in love. We love assisting you to enhance, sustain, rekindle, or repair that special connection that you and your significant has built. Because of you all, Mesmerized will one day be nationwide.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
My friends and I like “grown folks” establishments, like Cigar City, Fellaship, Whiskey Blue, Old School Saturday’s, or we may even go to Rose Bar from time to time. Depending on our tastebuds, we would go eat at Benihana’s, Houston’s, BUA Thai, STK Steakhouse, Cuts Steakhouse, or maybe even Copelands, Tin Lizzy’s, or Juicy Crab.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I must first give thanks to GOD, for allowing me, guiding me, and providing the necessary tools and vessels to push me to succeed. I would like to also show my appreciation to my Brand Strategist, Sean Rush, of Modi Group and my Social Media Manager – Monica Robinson of Wkshop.Co. I have learned so much from these two, about marketing Mesmerized & how to make sure it is operating at it’s full potential. My dear friends Bridget, Chantel, Kenyona, Rashonda, Torezz, Niajee & Ephraim. They have all played a valuable role, in different ways, in the success of Mesmerized. Whether it has been to assist us in decorating/setting up, giving advice, giving me new innovative ideas or to provide moral support, they are all always there when I need them. Support is an action word, and they truly support me. Gosh, I love my friends! I’m truly blessed beyond measures.
