Met Ruju Hailey Shah: CEO The S Collective

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ruju Hailey Shah and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ruju Hailey, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?
My goal is to dominate my industry and for that you have to make sacrifices because nothing is free in life. I don’t take my work and my passion for granted. I am extremely grateful and work harder today than I did yesterday on my businesses because not everyone gets to do what they love on their own terms.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I love all things events. I was in the event industry for 3 years before starting my own wedding planning company in 2020. Soon after I decided to add on branding elements and personalized creations. The more weddings I did, the more I realized the importance of branding events. This entails having personalization from unique signage to monogramed drink stirrers or even themed cake toppers. Branding events helps transform ordinary events into wonderfully luxurious events. The path to get here was not easy. I start my businesses right before Covid-19 hit. The pandemic shook the entire industry and made clients rethink the timing of their events. This shakeup required me to adjust business strategy. In addition, I took this time as an opportunity to fine tune my skills to better focus on enhancing my services. One of the biggest lessons I have learned is to never give up on what you are set out to do; if you truly believe in your brand or product, then others will too. We make extraordinary products for extraordinary couples and help them translate their story to their guests.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Some of the places I would take a friend would be the the Avalon, the Belt Line and the Montaluce Winery.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to thank my family who have shown me endless support and encouragement throughout this journey.
