Hi Kimarie, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
If you know me, you know I’m team Peyton. I’ve always known my son would not flourish in a traditional school setting and I would not be able to support my family fully on someone else’s payroll. My family will need time and flexibility that a traditional job just doesn’t offer. It took me years to find a path and a way to start building that lifestyle. I knew nothing about starting a business when I jumped on this roller coaster. What I did know is that I didn’t want to chase a the dollar, but the growth. In a big picture for me, my clients growth equates to my own growth. If I can spread NuGrowth Oil and Hair Care across the country and everyone is growing, so will I. So I have to make sure I am putting out products that people can be confident in and excited to use. I have my own standards and my clients will appreciate that.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
NuGrowth Oil and Hair Care was the purpose I never knew I had. I asked my God for guidance and I randomly started researching natural remedies and learned most of the remedies I found also carried benefits for hair growth. Which was another ongoing struggle I was dealing with at the time. I had cut my hair off due to hair extreme hair loss and through my research I came up with an infused herbal oil and started using it. I later shared it with family and their reactions motivated me to share it with my friends and followers. I created a hair growth oil that not only grows hair but addresses the causes of hair loss or lack of growth. NuGrowthOil and Hair Care is for everyone but especially for those who suffer from skin disorders that prohibit growth. I wanted to give those with eczema and alopecia another chance, and I’ve done just that! My products treat the follicle first then the strand as it grows. This is a product that goes beyond hair. Imagine being diagnosed with a disorder that takes your hair. Now imagine finding the one product that reverses that side affect. That’s something men and women have gone without and struggled with for years! The experience of extreme hair loss effects the physical, mental, and emotional state of an individual. If I can give someone their natural hair back, I can give that person their self esteem back…that’s the growth I’m focused on! I launched this business from my cellphone with little to no inventory. 6 moths later, I added a full hair care line. We pulled an all night-er creating shampoos and conditioners to launch at a small business expo on Jan 30th 2021. I used pop ups and expos as a way to network and get the products in peoples hands. I stumbled and mentally gave up along the way. I’ve wasted money and made poor decisions. I miscounted measurements and inventory moving too fast. I’ve questioned myself time after time but I’ve never aloud myself to believe quitting was better than continuing. I use my resources, my family. I’ve learned as much about myself as I have about herbs and oils. I’ve created a product that has already changed lives and I cant wait to see whose life I can change next. I need every individual to know that it is possible to start with nothing. I started with a prayer. Yes, Im still balancing a full time job, business, and a family (for now) but the rewards to come, I know will be worth the climb. NuGrowth Oil and Hair Care strives to be featured in local supply stores and to be the official beard oil of the NFL. Put it in the atmosphere, pray for it and go get it!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being born and raised in Atlanta and my bestfriend being a Natural born Saints fan, we cant do sports together. some of my favorite places I would love to share with her would be Thumbs up for breakfast followed by a spa mani/pedi and a little shopping. I enjoy the legendary landmarks of the city so the Ponce City Market, previously City Hall East and my first job would be a great afternoon hang out for a quick lunch and cocktail and even more shopping gems. Neither of us are big party girls and we prefer to keep it low key, So, our sun down wine down would most likely be a nice dinner and wine maybe at my favorite steak house, The Crossing. There’s lives music on the weekends but not too loud where we cant catch up and talk life, goals, and growth together. Ending with a scenic ride through the city with a nice breeze would be the cherry on top of a perfect Sunday. I love a good time because memories are my favorite things to create.
