We had the good fortune of connecting with Cotton Asia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Cotton, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
Create To Be Great, it’s in the name. My brand was created to inspire individuals to believe in themselves and the power every one of us has inside. The power to create and manifest the life we deserve. Our communities are often broken down in spirit to positively create or build and my brand provides tools on just that. It is never to late to harness your vibrational energy to bring positivity into your life.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Create To Be Great Manifestation Store ,provide Creators with the tools to create the life they want and desire. I have created the one and only crystal infused pen, named the Affirmation Wand, this pen encourages writing with intention. This and other tools like our Affirmation Cards deck, help you to stay positive and motivated to achieve success in all areas. I am so proud and grateful for all of our wonderful growth. I have just opened my 1st brick & mortar storefront in Roswell,Ga. Being a new black owned spiritual shop can be both surreal and over whelming. I have had challenges in all areas, but it’s so important to either find a solution or create one. There will always be obstacles, but the key is not allow it to consume you.
I’ve learned that many won’t understand or support you and that’s ok. It’s not for someone else to understand your dream, because it was given to you. All that you can do is focus on achieving it, in hopes that you inspire others to do the same.
I am just so honored to be in the position I am now. I,like many others went through some traumas in my past. However, I remember at 15 years old sitting in a tree at a park, as my younger brothers played unaware of the circumstances we were in . Living in between shelters, hotels, and sleeping in the car while my mom did her best with low wages. I remember telling myself that it would not always be like this. I told myself then, that I would Remember that very moment and would be so far away from that circumstance. And well, here I am.
That tree stayed with me. My brand my logo is all a tribute to my 15 yr old self sitting in that tree dreaming my future. Reminding myself that I was not my circumstances and that I could achieve so much more.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well if my best friend came into town. She had to come to my store, Create To Be Great Manifestation Store, to get all of her positive/motivational needs. Next we would eat at Slutty Vegan for lunch. Maybe have a picnic in piedmont park. Take a stroll on the beltline, eat a few restaurants in that area. Check out Krog Street Market. Eat at Beetlecat for their award winning lobster roll.
Take her to visit the Trap Museum & The Black Hair experience.
We have to check out Roswell Mill for a hike.
Sit by the river at Canon Restaurant.
Visit Ponce City Market, and Lil 5 Points, support our other local businesses HeetAtl, AtlHenna.
At nights we may go out to a BQE, or Boogalou, Escobar.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
