We had the good fortune of connecting with Sejfudin Memic and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sejfudin, what role has risk played in your life or career?
Risk is something that we all have encountered. Some will fear risk and some will embrace it. Personally, I think the riskiest thing is to not risk anything at all. In an advancing world, with opportunities in every corner, risk is something that you have to do in order to achieve huge success. Only those who risk going too far, can find out how far can one go. In the business world, in every sector, risk is what you would have to go through on a daily basis. For example, in my career, every vehicle I purchase is a risk. I’m risking my own money to buy a vehicle to sell, without really having the guarantee of it running, selling, etc. With that being said, risk is something that isn’t for everyone. There are obviously low risk and high risks in everything that you can do. However, one of the major differences between the risk takers is passion. Passion is one motivating factor that affects not only how much you risk but the degree of your risk. Any normal person would give up or play it safe, and that’s one of the biggest dividing factors between achieving great things.

What should our readers know about your business?
I own Sej Auto Sales. We are a used car dealership that sell low to mid range priced vehicles for anyone to enjoy. what sets us apart from other dealerships, is our wide range of different types of vehicles and our great prices. we serve customers all throughout the United States and our prices are some of the lowest in the nation. We have been in business for 3 years and continue to grow exponentially. I began in this business with very little knowledge in vehicles and business. But honestly, it hasn’t been easy. In the beginning it was very difficult, and this was just because of lack of experience. In this business, the initial investment is very high and that’s the first barrier you must pass. You are essentially spending thousands of dollars on vehicles sight unseen in a very short amount of time. And if you have no knowledge or experience, its very nerve racking. But as time goes on, you become so knowledgable, that you can buy a vehicle in 5 seconds just based on a couple of pictures. You essentially become a mechanic and salesman in one. Not only do you know the issues of a car, but you can determine the buy price, repairs and how much you can sell it for. And you can do all this just by seeing the car for 5 seconds. It may sound crazy but almost every dealership is like that.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my friend was visiting, one of the first places I would take them to would be to the Shop of Sej auto sales. I would show them around the shop and then after we would have to go to one of the best places to eat in ATL. Preferably, I would take them to Rummis which is one of my favorite places to eat. After that, we would have to check out ATL, from continental park, Benz stadium, to the Avenue. After a day of checking out Atl, we would have to go hangout in one of my favorites lounges called Inhale Smoke shop in Buford. We would probably hangout there throughout the night.The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would like to dedicate my shoutout to my parents. They have always had my back and continue to push and support me throughout my life. To this day, they continue to be a big part of my life and are always willing to lend a helping hand on whatever life throws at me.
