Hi Joy, what is the most important factor behind your success?
Being well-rounded. It is very important to familiarize yourself with as much knowledge as you can in various fields. Ranging from Entertainment & Sports to Medicine & Politics, i’ve been able to input myself in various industries allowing me to handle each client with a different perspective. Interesting enough, you’ll see drastic similarities amongst these industries that can translate into each other, giving me the ability to take on any client that comes my way!

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I call myself a Visionary Architect because I take my clients visions and make them reality. I started this journey when i was 16 years old. It was hard enough being a girl trying to break in, but as young as i was, no one took me seriously. So i made them. I put myself in positions where no one had a choice but to respect me because my work always speaks for itself. I’ve learned that if you’re great at what you do, everything will fall in line. When it comes to your dreams; age , gender are crippling excuses. I live by my Alma Mater “Find a way or Make one”. (Shoutout to CAU!)

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
That won’t be hard! For some good eats we’ll go to: JJ’s Slutty Vegan Mr. Everything Breakfast at Barney’s For Adventure: Amiciola Falls Atlanta Beltline Zip lining by Chattanooga river For a good vibe: Bar Vegan Rock Steady Copper Cove For the Turn up ! Compound Oak Opium Ace Eleven45 And that just me being modest ! There’s too much to do in ATL. Especially with Black-Owned business !

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Rod Chappell ! My go to guy. Literally, before i do anything i call him. I appreciate him so much, because every industry I am in is male dominated. It’s hard to find real mentorship, especially from women who might be intimated by you taking their position. Not realizing there is room for all of us. Since day one Mr. Chappell has poured an immense amount of knowledge into me and has believed in me. It’s one thing to say it, but to truly believe it and accept me with open arms, that I am forever grateful for.
