We had the good fortune of connecting with Micah Baisden and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Micah, what do you attribute your success to?
The most important factor not just in my success and in my brand but just in success general I believe is consistency. Whatever you are passionate about you can get people to gravitate to you to support you and your brand but they have to see how consistent you are before they commit to you. I read an statement by Chris Rock where he stated, “Being successful is like someone pushing a broke down car on their own down the street. Eventually, when people see you making the effort of your own they will join to help. It’s just something about seeing someone try on their own that automatically pulls the right people your way to help your dream come true but you have to make the effort.” The effort he is talking about is consistency.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
The name of my business and brand is PowerHouse Sports Academy. We started in 2016. In The first year of business we grew to 200 clients with our brand. From 2017 to Now we have trained over 2,000 clients, hosted and co hosted two international trips as the lead personal trainer/ fitness brand. We have also been featured on magazines, podcasts, and various interviews and the list goes on for the awards, achievements, and recognitions myself and the brand has obtained since the beginning of the business. Nothing was easy at all from the beginning but whenever you evolve over time it becomes easier to handle as long as you have organization, systems, and the right personnel in place. The lessons I learned in business is nothing comes to life without organization, a plan, and the execution of the plan also I learned patience is so important in business making sure every move made is strategic and progressive for the brand. What I want the world to know about PowerHouse Sports Academy is that we are superior fitness brand located in Atlanta, Georgia that focused on the results of our clientele while enhancing their overall knowledge of fitness and healthy living.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Sure! There are a list of people I owe so much gratitude to along this journey so far. First is God which has allowed all these wonderful opportunities in my business career and I’m forever grateful for his blessings and mercy over me. My parents who instilling in me a hard work ethic and helping me understand nothing is given you have to earn it. My best friends, Justin, Nick, And Sharelle who don’t allow me to get complacent is always “what’s next?” In our group so that’s how we motivate each other to always keep reaching higher. My countless mentors I have gained over life’s journey where I talked to them frequently or often everyone of them have given me some type of gem(s) I use to this everyday so to everyone I say Thank You With Out You All I’m Nothing.
