Hi monetia, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
The first thing came to my mind is how can I help the community and what is it I can do to bring quality to my network around me. What can I bring to the table to help grow .

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Monetia Smothers, also known as ‘Monetia the Model’ is a Model, Award-Nominated Actress, TV Personality, Spokes Model, Brand Ambassador Talk Show Host .One of my biggest and new project is I recently started a new commercial broadcasting television network located on Roku Platform called AEGTV part of Armani Entertainment Group LLC to begin airing no later than April 2021. In 2018, she was crowned Ms. Full Figure Georgia. Monetia has worked in the Fashion and Movie industry for over 10 years. She has modeled for Haute Couture Fashion houses like Elite Pour La Vie and Van Miller International and is currently a Runway Model for Celebrity Fashion Designer Lisa Nicole Cloud.. My Film and TV appearances include The Staff (2019), Dynasty (February 2019), BET Tales Moonlight (March 2019) and BET+ Bigger (2019). Her upcoming TV Shows include ‘Who’s Who in Atlanta’. Monetia was recently nominated for Best Actress in a Screen Play, Best Full-Figured Model and Best Show/Event Host at Atlanta’s Hottest Entertainment Awards. Monetia is a member of ‘No More’ (Say No to Domestic Violence) and the ‘Professional Organization Women of Excellence Recognized’ (POWER). Monetia Smothers is originally from Louisiana and is of creole descent. I started modeling when I retired as a nurse. I connected with a highschool friend who is in the i entertainment industry and he had friends who owned a modeling agency which peaked my interest. Once I started modeling all things came my way I continued and through connecting with others it led me to where I am today. The lessons I have learned is to never quit never give up and never let anyone tell you what you can’t do. Many times ti will hear no so many times don’t let it discourage you just let it be an avenue you accomplish on your own.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would probably take them to visit Buckhead .When i’m looking to go out and have fun I like dancing, music and eating out at nice restaurants lol. So I would look up the hottest spots to visit at that time. Other times quiet time and getting a little r and r i ll relax at hom ex with kids and watch movies or youtube . lol
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes my 3 kids and 2 grandkids deserve a shout out. They constantly push me to want to provide a better life for them. So they push me to continue to grow and be great. I want to be example for them to understand it doesn’t matter where you come from or how sick you are you can always be a better you always continue to grow and never give up never quit on your dreams. Also, i’m a strong lover of God and there’s others like Td jakes and trent shelton who has uplifted me and motivated with there words and encouraging videos about havin strength and not allowing negativity to stop you from pushing forward. Through some of my toughest times listening has helped me to build confidence and strength.
