We had the good fortune of connecting with Jessica Taroff and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jessica, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Over the past year as I have built my multiple businesses and brand, it is important to develop discipline in order to get where I want to be, and establish grit in my everyday actions as well.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Mess In Progress is a program that embraces the messy to create discipline in your life to make you a better and stronger version of YOU, no matter what your starting point is. This program is designed not to reach a designated number on a scale, but more about feeling comfortable and confident in your own skin. The more you create the discipline just from little benchmarks within the program through nutrition, fitness, and wellness, the more you create the same discipline throughout all other aspects of your life. Progress is not a linear process, but a messy yet beautiful development as using exercise as a time of rehab both physically and mentally rather than something just to “check off your list”. This program will not be easy, but it will for sure be worth it. It includes 2-way communication with me through a special app, as well as tailored workouts depending on what equipment they have available and what their goals are, nutrition guidance, and full yoga classes! It also includes wellness activities such as journaling as well! In addition, I also created a pre-natal program called Mama In Progress that specializes towards females who are expecting a child and want a pregnancy safe but affective workout.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a friend was coming, I’d take them to Piedmont Park and drink and eat at Park Tavern, have them see Ponce City Market rooftop, as well as other fabulous places around Atlanta that are all gorgeous! Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shout out people within the fitness and yoga industry who have really helped me grow, including Morgan Findlay, Michelle Adams, Bree Chamberlain, Jodi Scott, Anna Kennedy, Shannon Jackson, Freya Locklair, Chris Hale, as well as many others. I’d also like to thank my husband Alex Taroff for being so supportive through my endeavors.
