We had the good fortune of connecting with Aleshia Bryant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aleshia, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
I believe giving up should be a last resort. Most goals take longer than people expect, and success often comes after periods where it feels like little to no progress is being made. To not give up, it is better adjust the approach. If something isn’t working, try to learn from it, make changes, and keep moving forward. However, there are moments that stepping away is the right decision. Stepping away can be when something is negatively affecting your mental health, no longer aligning with your values, or preventing you from living the life you want. I don’t see it as a failure because you’ve given your best effort, and realized your energy is better spent pursuing a different path.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a versatile gaming content creator who enjoys exploring a wide variety of games rather than focusing on just one genre. My favorite types of games are action, simulation, and horror games, which allows me to create content for different audiences while keeping my channel fresh and engaging.

One thing that defines my work is that I handle every aspect of the content creation process myself. From recording gameplay and reactions to editing videos, designing thumbnails, and learning new creative skills, I am constantly working to improve my craft. I use tools like DaVinci Resolve and Photoshop, and I enjoy the challenge of learning something new with every project. Over the years, I have been able to significantly improve the quality of my content and create a better experience for my viewers.

What I am most proud of is the confidence I have built throughout my journey. Creating content pushes you outside of your comfort zone, and over time I learned to embrace being creative without worrying about what others think. That confidence has allowed me to continue growing, experimenting, and improving as a creator.

My journey has definitely had its ups and downs. Balancing content creation with full-time work, family losses, mental health struggles, and two ankle surgeries tested me in ways I never expected. There were times when financial challenges and physical pain forced me to put content on the back burner, but creating content has always been my safe space and a source of motivation. No matter what obstacles I’ve faced, I’ve stayed committed to my dream of becoming a full-time content creator and continued finding ways to grow and create.

What sets me apart is my belief in my vision and my willingness to do the work required to achieve it. I have a clear goal of becoming a full-time content creator, building a supportive community, and one day earning a YouTube Silver Creator Award. No matter the obstacles, I continue showing up, learning, and creating. I believe my authenticity, resilience, and commitment to growth are what make me unique. At the end of the day, there is only one version of me, and I strive to use my platform to inspire others to pursue their own goals and dreams.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live in Louisiana. I’d make sure my best friend got the full local experience. We’d stay at the casino hotels, where we could enjoy the amazing restaurants, relax by the pool, catch live entertainment, and maybe even try our luck at the casino. Throughout the week, I’d take them to some of my favorite local restaurants to experience authentic Louisiana cuisine—fresh seafood, spicy Creole dishes, Cajun classics, and, if it’s the right season, a traditional crawfish boil. We’d also spend time exploring the waterfront, enjoying the local atmosphere, and checking out any festivals, concerts, or community events happening that week. I think the best part about this area is the friendly people, incredible food, and laid-back Southern hospitality that make every visit feel memorable.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shoutout to my family and my partner because they have all played an important role in my journey.

First, I want to give credit to my dad. When my brothers and I were younger, he bought us gaming consoles, which was really our introduction to gaming and technology. Those early experiences helped lay the foundation for the passion that eventually led me to content creation.

I also want to recognize my brother, Eric. He has always been a huge gaming enthusiast, and growing up, I would watch him get completely immersed in the games he played. I was usually his Player 2, and those moments helped spark my love for gaming. In many ways, he is one of the reasons I am so passionate about games today.

My mom has been my biggest supporter throughout my content creation journey. While content creation isn’t always viewed as a traditional career path, especially by older generations, she has always encouraged me to pursue my goals and continue believing in myself. Her support has meant the world to me.

Lastly, I want to shout out my partner, Xavier. He understands the dedication, patience, and hard work it takes to build something for yourself. Having someone who truly understands the challenges of pursuing a dream has been incredibly valuable, and I am grateful for the support and encouragement he has given me along the way.

I wouldn’t be where I am today without the people who believed in me, and they all deserve recognition for being part of my story.
