We had the good fortune of connecting with Lyndon Majoni and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lyndon, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I fell in love with music while I was still in school. I also liked literature and how creatives can use words to tell different stories and inspire change. When I started making my music that also became part of my values. Fall in love with Rap, express myself Artistically, remain Passionate as ever, practice the outermost Patience, stay Innovative and do what I can to leave a Dynasty behind. These values form an acronym for my stage name Rappid

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I want people to remember Rappid as the guy that fought to beat the odds. I started rapping in 2017 but decided to go all in in 2024. I cemented my stay in the industry by the release of my debut Ep the Weed and WIFI Ep which is a 4 track Ep. MaEra X3 handled most of the production on that and mixing and mastering. The journey hasn’t been easy at all but every challenge came with a lesson and I’ve now realized more than ever before that your network is your networth

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In my city firstly we’d visit the museum and park. That way I’d teach them the history of the city. We would eat Parkview leisure hub and drink at the vintage shisha. On another day after we are done with the CBD we would drive to cotton club. It has a really chilled vibe that and smoke house will be the best spots for him

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d say the 5am Club book by Robin Sharma really changed my trajectory in life. I now pursue my goals with much clarity. Smofair through my friend Mbongeni were the people that gave me my first recording platform. Zeyn Liquid and MaEra X3 have been with me in this journey for the longest time and I am here because of their efforts. Also a big shoutout to LeKedra Robertson for mentoring me through the Center For Talent Development program.
