We had the good fortune of connecting with Charlottie Willis and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Charlottie, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After planning several events for my own children, I realized I could turn my creativity into a business. One of the most memorable was my daughter’s Sweet 16. The event received so many compliments that people began asking if I offered event planning and decorating services. At the time, I had never done a large-scale event professionally, but I decided to take on the challenge. That leap of faith led to the creation of Lottie’s Creations in 2017. What started as a passion for celebrating my own family has grown into a business focused on helping others create beautiful, memorable experiences for their special occasions.

What sets Lottie’s Creations apart is my attention to detail and my ability to transform a client’s vision into a memorable experience. I take pride in creating personalized events that reflect each client’s style while adding unique creative touches that make every celebration special.

I am especially passionate about children’s parties and enjoy bringing themes to life in ways that create excitement and lasting memories for families. Seeing the joy on a child’s face when they walk into their celebration is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

One of my greatest accomplishments has been growing Lottie’s Creations from a passion project into a business that offers children’s parties, soft play rentals, and full event décor services. While balancing family, a full-time career, and business ownership has not always been easy, faith, and a commitment to continuous growth have helped me overcome challenges along the way.

Lottie’s Creations is about more than event décor—it’s about creating meaningful experiences and lasting memories that families will cherish for years to come.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I’m definitely more of a homebody, so my idea of a great time is less about constantly being on the go and more about enjoying good food, good company, and fun experiences. If my best friend were visiting, I’d probably keep the itinerary simple but memorable.

We would definitely spend some time at Topgolf, enjoy a little friendly competition at the bowling alley, and visit Andretti Indoor Karting & Games for entertainment and fun. When it comes to food, one of my favorite spots is a local hibachi restaurant in Stone Mountain. There’s just something about great food and great conversation that makes for the perfect outing.

Outside of that, I’m happiest spending quality time with family and friends, relaxing at home, and creating special memories. While I may not be the person exploring every new hotspot in the city, I believe some of the best experiences come from enjoying the people around you and making the most of simple moments together.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost, I give all honor and glory to God for the creativity, strength, and opportunities that have guided me throughout this journey. Building a business while balancing family, career, and other responsibilities has not always been easy, but faith, perseverance, and a strong support system have helped me continue moving forward.

I would also like to thank my family, especially my children, who inspired me to start Lottie’s Creations. What began as planning celebrations and special moments for my own family eventually grew into a business that allows me to help others create lasting memories. I am equally grateful for my close friends whose encouragement, support, and belief in me have motivated me every step of the way.

A special thank you goes to the talented event planners and creative professionals I have had the privilege of collaborating with over the years. Their willingness to share knowledge, offer guidance, and partner on projects has helped me grow both personally and professionally. Finally, I am thankful for every client who has trusted Lottie’s Creations with their special moments. Every event, custom creation, and milestone is a reflection of the people who have encouraged, inspired, and supported me along the way.
