We had the good fortune of connecting with Christian Mejia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Christian, what’s one piece of conventional advice that you disagree with?
“Go to college and get good grades so you can get a good job.” Although this is the traditionally safe route, I think people have way more potential than that. Education is important, however it is not the only way to build a successful career for yourself. Travel, learn new skills, pick up some hobbies, meet REAL people. This will ultimately propel you further in life than the traditional route – financially, physically and mentally.

What should our readers know about your business?
Tidy-Up is a locally owned and operated, five star rated junk removal company based in Milton, GA. What sets us apart from other junk removal companies (and other companies in general) is our eagerness to make people happy. Our employees’ and customers’ happiness is paramount to us – it’s what drives us.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Atlanta and its surrounding metropolis is full of great places to visit. If you’re looking to break in those hiking boots you haven’t worn since you bought them, get to stepping on Kennesaw Mountain. When you’re done, you’re likely gonna want some delicious fried chicken so you go on down to Gus’ and fill up that belly. Now it’s time to swap out those hiking boots for some dancing shoes as you tear up the dance floor at Johnny’s Hideaway. You might have a little headache when you wake up but you’re in luck cause pizza is the cure and the best pizza in town Can be found at Antico.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shoutout goes to my mentor and business partner Ryan Claterbaugh. Shortly after I started working for his company in 2015, I basically begged him for a sales position and through that experience I met hundreds of successful individuals which really awoken my entrepreneurial drive, all the while picking up invaluable skills along the way.
