Meet Megan Janisch | Tattoo Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Janisch and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Megan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Honestly, i credit a lot of my success to my team. I work with a lot of driven, hardworking individuals and it pushes me to want to be better as a person and in what i do. I feel like we all want to see each other succeed so we learn a lot from each other. That, and having a good work ethic helps.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I got into my career in sort of an unconventional way. I wasn’t looking to be a tattoo artist really. I genuinely was just in the right place at the right time. Without getting too much into the story, the offer was there and i took it, and i’m so glad i took that chance. My apprenticeship wasn’t easy, i struggled a lot mentally during that time, but im so grateful for where im at now because of it. Genuinely just happy to be doing what im doing, learning, and growing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we’re going out to eat, we’re going to the cellar. It’s a little like, pub, i guess you could say. The vibe is nice, so are the people who work there, and the food is great every time. I don’t go out much but cartersville has a lot of good hiking spots and a movie theatre haha.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Without my mentor, Steven Hullander, i wouldn’t be where i am now. He’s the reason i’m even in tattooing to begin with, He’s taught me everything i know/ continue to learn. That being said though, the entire crew at Paragon Tattoos deserves a shout out because they’re some of the most driven dedicated supportive team i know. We just wanna see each other succeed and grow at the end of the day.
