We had the good fortune of connecting with Shanita and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Shanita, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
Me being a model gives me confidence I’m able to express myself and be comfortable in my own skin no judgments just in my own world only me and the camera I am able to use body language to express emotions It’s something I’ve always been good at I love modeling gives me endurance and patience I believe in myself I keep God on mind and it keeps me dedicated to my crafts.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
My enthusiasm My strength and my passion for modeling speaks for itself that’s what sets me apart from others I don’t give up I do what needs to be done to get great photoshoots and Art all together It definitely wasn’t easy for me I had to remind myself encourage myself to keep going because modeling is what I love I had financial issues I was taken advantage by some of the modeling agencies and modeling schools and I didn’t get the support as I should when I started and it made me want to give up but I kept motivating myself to keep going I started moving more independently I couldn’t trust anyone I put god first

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I dont have a best friend but if I did I’m very kind hearted I’ll give the clothes off my back if I had to I will ask them what they wanted to do I let them choose as I would want them to do the same for me I’m not a drinker but if they decide they want to go to a bar then we will go I’m not expensive I’m the type let’s go to chilli’s or ruby Tuesday I like to eat good but also know how to budget lol I’m definitely an arcade type of girl I like to go bowling skating arcade rooms just like to have fun or just go the mall

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I just want to shoutout to the ones who gave me modeling opportunities took a chance on me Photographers Designers Makeup Artist Digital Artist Brands they know who they are lol Shoutout to all my Supporters Followers Fans Family the ones that took the time to encourage me to keep going The ones that comment on my post my pictures and videos on any or all social media platforms have sent me encouraging words via social media messaging I’m going ro always give credit where credit is due they stay true to me and I stay true to them Also Demario Scott for referring me I’ve been through alot in this industry and I’ve also learned a lot and I’m so very grateful and blessed to be where I am now I will continue to motivate myself to do what I love so much
