We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenya Wright and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenya, what matters most to you?
The value that matters most to me is being in sync with Spirit. Every business decision I’ve made, every risk I’ve taken, every healing modality I’ve mastered—has all been in response to the whispers and nudges of divine timing. When I’m aligned with Spirit, things that once felt hard suddenly open with grace. That’s the rhythm I help my clients attune to in both healing and in business. You don’t need to force what’s meant for you—you need to listen, align, and act from a place of energetic integrity.

What should our readers know about your business?
My brand is called Butterfly Bearthworks. Within that, I’m the founder of Astral Authority, an elite 6-month online certification for energy healers who are ready to master Reiki, Shamanic Journeying, and womb healing while building a spiritually aligned business. What sets my work apart is that I don’t just hand you tools—I initiate you into your own magic. My clients walk away with certifications, but also with a deeper understanding of their intuitive gifts, their worth, and their capacity to earn abundantly by being themselves. I’ve never seen the combination of topics that I offer in this class or the unique advanced Reiki Master retreat opportunity I offer for graduates in person in Costa Rica!

I’m most proud of the risks I’ve taken that have paid off. I left the U.S. to build a life and business in Costa Rica, where I now live in deep communion with nature. I once said yes to competing on Let’s Make a Deal and The Price Is Right. In total, I won $30K+ in prizes across both shows, because I trusted my rituals to prepare me and stayed in the energy of play. That same willingness to leap is what helped me build my spiritual business from the ground up. I believe that aligned risk is actually a portal—it’s not about reckless action, it’s about saying yes to the next version of yourself, even when you don’t have all the proof yet. That’s exactly the kind of courage we cultivate inside my Winner Energy Activation Mini-Course and the Astral Authority program. I love that my game show wins provide a tangible example of what womb healing, Reiki, and Shamanic Journey can do for your manifestations.

It wasn’t always easy. I’ve launched things that flopped, tried strategies that drained me, and had to heal my own emotional wounds. But every challenge sharpened my clarity. The turning point came when I stopped trying to follow what everyone else was doing and started ritualizing my business—honoring launches as ceremonies, trusting timing, and leading with energy.

I want the world to know that spiritual entrepreneurship is real. My students have signed multiple clients BEFORE launching, birthed retreats that turned into more retreats BEFORE graduating, and have gone from knowing nothing about energy healing to becoming masters of it. If you’re reading this and wondering how to begin, I invite you to join the Winner Energy Masterclass. It’s a free training that shows you my ritual blueprint for building a spiritual business. These are the same practices that led to my back to back game show wins.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
First stop would be The Vibrary—a beautiful Black woman-owned bookstore and wine bar in Stone Mountain Village. It’s a bit outside the city but we just have to support my fellow Jackie Robinson Foundation Alum, Candace Walker. We’d browse books while sipping something bubbly. Before or after, we’d check out Stone Mountain Park for some nature vibes. Then maybe we’d head back into town to explore the Coca-Cola Factory just for the fun of it. We’d also tap in with Monroe Holistics (ran by my homie Sage Monroe who I met in Costa Rica) for massages. And you can’t visit ATL without tacos—we’d hop around testing spots until we find the one. The vibe I’m always chasing is sacred play—places where the soul and body both feel nourished.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I have to shout out Beyoncé. Her embodiment of the goddess, her discipline, her imagination—it reminds me to keep reaching for more. I recently attended the Cowboy Carter Tour opening night, and being in that space reawakened my creative fire in ways I’m still unpacking. In the past, I’ve even published a chapter in a book called Beyoncé Saved My Cross Country Bike Trip. But that’s a story for another day.

I also want to shout out my ancestors—so many of my offerings were channeled from the guidance and blessings of those who came before me. They never let me down. And finally, to my clients—the healers, artists, and mystics I’ve had the honor to train in Reiki and Shamanic Journey. Watching them thrive reminds me that our liberation is collective.
