Meet Teryn Brielle Patrick | Owner of Soft Beats By Bri and Co-Owner of The RnB Beauty Bar

We had the good fortune of connecting with Teryn Brielle Patrick and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Teryn Brielle, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The story of “The RnB Beauty Bar” and “Soft Beats By Bri” encapsulates the essence of entrepreneurship driven by a desire to uplift and empower.
At the heart of this venture is the belief, famously articulated by Maya Angelou, that the lasting impact we have on others is rooted in how we make them feel.
In both my personal and professional endeavors, my mission is to encourage embracing inner beauty and confidence daily. As a trusted Counselor and Professional Makeup Artist/Owner of Soft Beats By Bri my goal is not only to enhance outer beauty but also to elevate spirits through glamour and self-care practices. The evolution into “Soft Beats by Bri” marked a significant pivot, highlighting the transformative power of makeup in enhancing not just physical beauty but also self-esteem. My goal is for women to see themselves in the mirror and recognize that makeup should enhance, not change, their beauty. I strive to create a therapeutic beauty experience to all!
The formation of “The RnB Beauty Bar,” in collaboration with my best friend Dr. Raven Pharr, is a visionary step towards creating a holistic beauty, educational, empowerment and fashion experience. Dr. Raven Pharr is also an educator, professional braider, and the Owner of RaeBraided. We both have a passion for people, styling, education and fashion, and I knew I had to ask her to be my business partner. This partnership not only combines diverse talents and expertise but also embodies the spirit of black female entrepreneurship and solidarity.
Our business The RnB Beauty Bar is based around serval workshops in makeup, skin care, braiding and our girls group curriculum for self care ,inner and outer beauty. Success for our business would be publishing our Girls Empowerment curriculum & open a storefront dedicated to beauty & education, and have contracted opportunities. This space would serve as a hub for knowledge & growth, providing young entrepreneurs with resources & support. I aim to directly engage with the youth in my community, promoting self-love, beauty, & business skills. Inspired by the quote, “It’s hard to be what you haven’t seen,” I want to ensure that the young girls and women in our program feel seen, heard, supported and empowered.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Being from southwest Atlanta aka Cascade Rd. I love Baltimore crab and seafood when I first come home that Friday night and then go to the battery atl for events and good vibes on Saturday , and I also love hitting up Lilys Atl on Saturday nights and the food is great, and BQE will always be a great Sunday brunch vibe finishing off with a Sunday night at cascade skating rink.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out another great black entrepreneur in Nashville named Alexis Harris, owner of The Honey Lab.
She gave me my first space to try a 10-hour day of doing makeup of all ages, ethnicities, and skin textures for me to truly see if it was something I could truly do. As we can see today, that trial day turned out to be amazing, and it jump-started my pivot into opening Soft Beats by Bri.
I also want to give a shout out to my best friend Dr. Raven Pharr for being open supportive and believing in me, and becoming my partner for the RnB Beauty Bar and creating such a monumental and impactful business with me that has changed our lives for the better.
