Meet Veronica Acree | Makeup Artist & Wine Enthusiast

We had the good fortune of connecting with Veronica Acree and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Veronica, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
This is a great question. So my thought process about starting my own business was i want to do what i love and what im passionate about. The freedom to make my own schedule and be my own boss is so important to me. I also love the fact that in starting my own business also creates jobs for other people. Being able to help people is a big deal to me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started making wine at home this summer. I’ve always had a great passion for wine. I love going to wineries and tasting. I realized that wine was a passion of mine a few years ago. It was more than just liking wine but wanted to learn the whole process of making the wine. I was the girl at the tastings taking notes. I took a certification in Wines of Georgia (the country). When i passed the test and got my certification i was so proud of myself. That was just what i needed to move forward with my education in wine and the wine making process. This was not an easy task. But i genuinely wanted to learn so i did all that i needed to do to get all the information i needed. One of the lessons i learned was patience. Making wine takes time and the process can’t be rushed. The name of the wine comes from sisterhood group i have. S.H.E. Living. My friend told me that i should name my wine that as well. S.H.E. Worthy Wine. S.H.E. stands for sisters healing & evolving. I’m all about sisterhood and community. I created this wine for the women who may a little relaxation from everyday life

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
So if my besties were to come in town we definitely go to the Vick on Canton. We would grab a quick bite to eat there and our first round of drinks. Then i would take them to Gaslight Roswell for dinner more drinks and great vibes.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I always want to recognize my children. Without them none of this would be possible. They are such a big part of my support system. They are my little assistants. I also want to recognize my mother. She has always stood behind me in all my endeavors.
