Meet Anthony Gaither | Photography, Social Creative Manager and Drone Operator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Anthony Gaither and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Anthony, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I’ve always been drawn to the creative process, using photography as a powerful catalyst to bring ideas to life and capture meaningful moments. In 2020, I transformed that passion into a business, specializing in major events, weddings, portrait sessions, and family gatherings. This journey has not only deepened my love for photography but also strengthened my passion for storytelling. As 2025 approaches, I’m proud to celebrate five amazing years of pursuing what I love and creating lasting memories for others.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
The most exciting part of being a photographer—or a creative in general—is bringing something to life that the world has never seen before. Every piece of work is unique to the person behind it, and that individuality makes the process so rewarding. Whether I’m capturing a wedding, creating a portrait session for an entrepreneur, or producing personal travel content, there’s nothing quite like seeing the unedited result and knowing I can push it even further. It’s what keeps me motivated. Like any creative running a business, I’ve faced my share of ups and downs, but I’ve always used those challenges as opportunities to improve, refine my skills, and deliver even better content for myself and my clients.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If you’re looking for great places to explore in Atlanta, I always recommend starting with The Battery. It’s a vibrant spot with endless options—whether you want to grab a bite, enjoy drinks, watch a game, catch a show, or just relax and take in the atmosphere. It’s truly one of the best places to experience the city’s energy.
For taco lovers, I highly recommend Little Rey. They have several locations, but it’s worth sitting outside to enjoy their incredible Mexican food when the weather is nice.
Next up is Fox Bros. Bar-B-Q, specifically their Decatur location. If you’re a fan of barbecue, this is the spot to enjoy mouthwatering food, a great drink, and even better conversation.
If you’ve never been, the Georgia Aquarium is a must-see. It’s an awe-inspiring experience, and the work they do there is incredible.
For a fun night out, I recently took my girlfriend to two amazing spots. First is Pera Bistro, where you can enjoy great drinks, fire music provided by a dj, and an inviting atmosphere. The second is JoJo’s Beloved Cocktail Lounge, a speakeasy located inside Politan Row. It’s perfect for date nights, catching up with friends, or even enjoying a solo vibe with an exceptional cocktail.
During the summer, I always recommend Rum Punch Brunch. If you’re into Afro-Caribbean music, love to dance, and want to experience a party with bottomless rum punch, this is the place to be.
Finally, for those with a sweet tooth, you can’t go wrong with Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams. Their unique flavors are unforgettable. And for late-night cravings, Insomnia Cookies is always a solid choice—you’ll find them all over the city.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
First and foremost, I want to give all the glory and praise to God—without Him, we are nothing. But I also want to honor the most important person who shaped me into who I am today: my mother, Candy. She gave me the creative freedom to express myself, helping me develop my personality and equipping me with the tools to gain the skills I have today. Her guidance and unwavering support allowed me to embrace my true self and see the world through a unique, creative lens. Without her, I wouldn’t be the person I am today.
