We had the good fortune of connecting with Mukee Murtaza Kabani and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mukee Murtaza, what is the most important factor behind your success?
The foundation of my journey has always been the unwavering support of my beloved family, especially my parents, siblings, and my husband.

Growing up in the remote village of Hunza, Pakistan, where education felt like a distant dream, my parents held onto a vision of hope that extended well beyond our family. Despite never having the chance to attend school, they took a courageous step in the 1970s by establishing the first school in our village. Their selfless act sparked a profound commitment to education and service that has transformed lives, including mine.

Their tireless dedication has left an indelible mark on so many, from my siblings to countless children in our village and community – who now are well-settled in their lives. I am truly blessed to be their daughter, and eternally grateful for the invaluable lessons they have taught me—wisdom that goes far beyond what any formal education can offer. Every day, I pray for their well-being and strive to fulfill their dreams.

Having worked diligently throughout my life, I’ve fostered a strong sense of independence—financially and socially—since a young age. With a double master’s degree in media management and strategic communications, I owe this opportunity to my parents and my husband who encouraged me to pursue my passions in education, work, travel, relationships, and ultimately finding a partner for life.

In a heartfelt effort to honor their legacy, I launched a podcast, @greatbigenergy, where I share the invaluable wisdom they have instilled in me.

Now based in Atlanta, Georgia, I work as a healthcare professional, dedicated to supporting cancer patients at a leading hospital. My journey has also taken me through experiences at Unilever and GlaxoSmithKline in Pakistan. I feel fortunate to have traveled across three continents, visiting twelve countries and exploring thirty-two cities along the way.

Many people are curious about my cherished homeland, Hunza. This breathtaking valley in northern Pakistan, often described as “Heaven on Earth,” is graced by the majestic presence of K2, the second-highest mountain in the world.

Outside of my professional role, I embrace many identities: a devoted dog mom, a loving wife, a caring daughter and sister, a passionate podcaster, an influencer, a community volunteer, and an adventurous global traveler.

Each of these roles brings me joy and fulfillment, reflecting the beautiful tapestry of life woven by love, support, and the desire to make a difference.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
What you seek is seeking you – Rumi

I embrace this quote as my guiding principle. I am living my dream life, profoundly grateful to the Almighty for every blessing that has come my way.

My work with cancer patients is both a challenge and a profound source of joy. Each day begins at 6:30 am and ends at 6:30 pm as I navigate my commute by car and public transportation. In the presence of my patients, my own problems fade away, and I find fulfillment. When I’m not working, I cherish my time with my baby girl, Skye Mille (my dog), and my husband. Weekends are devoted to cooking, resting, organizing, and enhancing our home decor.

As a side hustler, I am also an influencer and podcaster. My podcast, @greatbigenergy, available on Instagram and YouTube, fosters deep and meaningful conversations about life.

Meanwhile, my blog, @hunzagirl, celebrates travel, fashion, lifestyle, and the beauty of slow living.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them to Stone Mountain Park, Helen Georgia, Georgia Aquarium, and The World of Coca-Cola.

We would go to the Atlanta Belt Line for food and street art.

We would hang out at the Ponce City market.

We would eat at Vortex and walk around Little Five Points.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to my siblings and my husband. My sisters and brother have been the foundation of my values and the light in my life. They have stood by me through every struggle and triumph, and I truly believe that who I am today is a reflection of their unwavering support.

My husband is a wonderfully kind and compassionate person; he brings out the best in me every single day. He has taught me invaluable lessons, especially the importance of living a slow life and letting go of worry. His belief in me inspires me to chase my dreams with confidence, and he embraces me for who I truly am.

When I met him, I was facing some of the darkest moments of my life. He came into my world and transformed it in the most profound way. I genuinely feel that God brought him to me, and if given the chance, I would ask for the same blessing in another life.
